Welcome to Dubuque Specialty Care

Dubuque Specialty Care is conveniently located in the attractive West End area of Dubuque providing rehabilitation and long-term care services.Our Rehab to Home program has in-house staff and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists who work closely with the resident, family, and nursing staff to develop an individualized therapy program.

We are proud of our successful rehabilitation record. On average, half of all our residents admitted have successfully returned home. Our therapy kitchen helps residents learn adaptations to safely return home. Residents are able to prepare their own meals or special treats with assistance from staff in a home-like environment.

Dubuque Specialty Care is a 98-bed skilled nursing facility offering rehabilitation services, skilled nursing care, long term care and hospice care. It is owned and operated by Care Initiatives, Iowa’s largest not-for-profit senior care provider. Dubuque Specialty Care accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
