Larry's specialties include children ages 10 and up, and adults who may be living with anxiety, depression, grief, family issues, relationship difficulties, or substance abuse challenges.

The first step to change is noticing what’s really going on inside you.
So many of us carry things we don’t fully understand: old pain, worry, or patterns that feel like they run beneath the surface. When we stop to notice, we begin to make sense of it all.
You don’t need to do more to heal; you just need to see what’s been happening inside you.

J4BG Family was founded in 2006 by Larry Jackson Jr., MSE, tLMHC (www.larryjacksonjr.com).
In 2006, J4BG originally started under the vision "J4BG Academy". During that time Larry Jackson developed a community-based group guidance counseling curriculum for at-risk youth in the downtown area of Dubuque. That outreach was provided every Monday night and continued for 6 years.
In 2014, a building was purchased in the downtown area of Dubuque where free counseling services were provided along with continued community outreach. The organization was renamed J4BG Family Services, where holistic, and empowerment directed objectives were offered to at-risk families in Dubuque.
Some of the projects that have supported under the umbrella of J4BG Family include: the Beautification Project, the March Against Violence, Family Nights, and Fatherhood Training
J4BG Family is a business structure, providing counseling services for kids, parents, adults, and couples. J4BG Family functions a portion of its business like a non-profit, helping over 15% needy families on a pro-bono or reduced fee status. We do this to keep our tax and legal structure clean and simple. We may later expand to a non-profit status depending on our speed of growth in years to come.
Whats Next?...
We hope "J4BG" will turn into a Leadership Brand to help reinforce positive behavior for children and families in the community, all to the glory of God, to promote an unbiased, non-judgemental support to the surrounding community.
