This is the Case xx M1 Astronaut Knife model 1966 s/n 657. This knife was designed and built by case for NASA. All the Gemini and Apollo manned flights had a knife like this on board. One was on board when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the first steps on the moon. They were designed for the Astronauts to use for survival in case of crashing into a remote area upon reentery. From 1966-1972 they made 2,494 of the same design to sell to the public. This knife is the exact design they carried and the original first run came in a neat display shadow box. Very cool piece of history.

2009 case xx trapperlock. Beautiful bone stag handles and amazing scroll etched blade. Never carried with original factory edge and bowtie shield.
