Here at Mountain Region Home Health we are recognizing Breast Cancer Awarness Month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, besides skin cancer. We encourage all women to participate in annual home self exams and mammograms for early detection. We are honored to care for breast cancer survivors and those still fighting. 🩷

We are so incredibly thankful for our staff along side their families that brought unforgettable smiles to the Duffield Daze Residential Parade this evening. We even had a former patient and her family join in on the fun. It is an great honor to serve these residents, facilities, and small town USA. 💙

Several years back our Administrator was inspired by a patient she helped care for. In his healthier days, he would tell of times during the summer he and his wife would bring tomato sandwiches to those in local nursing homes. This an Appalachian delicacy. He remembered the joy this brought to them. The past few years we have been honored to carry this tradition on. 🍅
