As women, esp women in mid-life, we often spend a great deal of time taking care of others. Worried about their well-being. We offer a great deal of our time and energy to others—our family, our jobs, our friends, our pets, everyone around us!! It is innate to nurture. We hope our providers will take care of us, we assume our loved ones will help ensure our well-being. The truth is, no one is going to prioritize your health for you, like you. It’s your body. Own it. Prioritize your health. Everyone else will benefit. A healthy you means a you’re equipped to be present and care for those you love. A healthy you means you can show up where and how you wish in life. Don’t wait for your provider or your loved ones to prioritize you.

Just published recently in — 50% of women may experience symptoms of hormonal shifts linked to menopause/perimenopause in their 30s. I know I absolutely did. If you’re over 30 and feel like things are “off”, you don’t feel quite like yourself or you suspect your hormones are acting up…you’re not crazy. You could be totally spot on.

Segsual health is important across the life span. Do not let a provider tell you there’s nothing that can be done!

Do things change for women in the pelvic floor as we get older? Yes. Does this mean we have to accept missing the zing of in*******se? NO.

Low libido,
Pain/discomfort with in+ercourse,
Loss of sensation,
Incontinence,
Change in O quality,
Vag dryness,
Increased UTIs….

none of that is “just part of getting older” and do not accept that from a provider. There are treatments that can help so much. Don’t lose your libid-O.

Fatigue. Exhaustion. Face-plant tired. Crashing in the afternoon. No se* drive. Just going through the motions. Reaching for the caffeine everyday to get through.
Its’s one of the #1 symptoms women report in mid-life making it hard to do life the way they want. There are many factors that can contribute to fatigue. But so many women are missing one of the most basic, foundational pieces of it, in their sleep!

It’s not just how much sleep you’re getting, but how much DEEP, restorative sleep is the real hallmark of good sleep.

How much deep sleep should we get? 90-120min a night is the goal for quality sleep.

You can track deep sleep with an Apple Watch or Oura ring really easily.

If you’re not hitting that mark, struggling with exhaustion/fatigue it’s time to get to the root of what’s disrupting your sleep or how to improve it.

The CDC just released new data on who is visiting the doctor’s office most. It’s not 65+. And it’s not men.

No shock to any woman over 40, women 40-65 were the most likely to visit the doctor’s office. And we KNOW why!! Perimenopause and the early years of menopause bring a slew of symptoms (over 70 identified) for women that are often misdiagnosed, mistreated or improperly worked up. When the truth is, it’s hormonal changes and most providers are not educated on this stage of life or process that every single woman will go through.
Oprah just sat down with Heather Hirsch the other day to discuss this very thing! Most women will visit an average of 3-5 doctor’s visits (some over 10) before they ever hear the word perimenopause.

If you are over 35 and dealing with new “weird” symptoms, find a qualified provider who knows and understands women’s hormonal landscape in mid-life!
