Last week my trainer and I walked.
My system felt taxed before my trip, I could feel it, so we regulated.

This week I'm ready to lift heavy again.

Same commitment. Different intensity.

Midlife strength is built in cycles, NOT constant grind.

Day 3 skis were labelled "Killer Queen"...that felt pretty bold for someone relearning how to ski.

I wasn't sure if that meant I'd dominate the mountain or become part of it.

But it made me laugh every time I looked down at them.

Midlife gift:
Taking life seriously, but not taking yourself too seriously.

The Snowbunny Queen lives. Slightly bruised (those chair lifts!) but very much amused.

Four full days of skiing, hiking and e-biking with my favorite guy, after a very full week of work and life.

And here's what feels different in this season of life.

I'm not wrecked.
Not inflamed.
Not wired.
Not depleted.

Just...really good.

There's a difference between burnout and capacity.

Capacity isn't about doing more. It's built quietly thru strength training, sleep, solid nutrition, learning when to push and when to regulate/pause.

This week felt like a nice pay-off of that work.

I hadn't skied in 20+ years. And I was never great to begin with.
So last week, this "newbie" signed up for ski school (or Bunny school as I like to call it).

There's something pretty powerful and cool about choosing to be a beginner again.
Slightly uncomfortable.
Slightly risky.
Very much alive.

Midlife isn't about proving you're still good. It's about being brave enough to step into new things.

And yes, awesome coaching helps, too!

Earlier in my career, I saw firsthand how often women's heart symptoms don't look "classic".
Some were intially dismissed or misdiagnosed, too many women meet cardiology AFTER the event.

That's one reason I care so deeply about helping women understand their risk *before* something happens.

I'd rather meet you before.

Because here's the truth:
Women can have normal cholesterol, healthy weight, and still carry hidden cardiovascular risk, especially as hormones shift in midlife.

If you've been curious about your heart health, this is your sign.

Message me or comment HEART for details.

Heart disease doesn't only happen to women who "look unhealthy". Some of the highest-risk women I've seen had completely normal cholesterol and normal weight -- until we look more in-depth.

Many women assume that if their cholesterol is "fine", their weight is "normal" and they feel okay, their heart risk must be low. They think it happens "when we get older".

Heart disease starts silently, developing over decades, not overnight.

This heart assessment package is for you if:
❤️You've been told your cholesterol is "borderline"
❤️Heart disease runs in your family
❤️You're navigating midlife weight changes
❤️You want prevention, not panic

This package is available through the end of March. Every woman who enrolls in February will receive their own red dress pin, the same symbol that sparked my commttment to women's heart health years ago.

If you've been thinking about your health....this might be your sign to look a little closer.

You don't have to wait for symptoms.

Even women with normal cholesterol, normal weight and no obvious warning signs can still carry hidden risk.
You don't have to wait for something to feel wrong.
And you don't have to figure it out alone.

This heart health package is designed to give you real data, clear insight and a focused conversation about what actually matters for YOUR risk.

If you're curious or want details, send me a message or comment below and I'll point you in the right direction.

Prevention works best when we start sooner, not later. ❤️

Heart diease in women isn't theoretical for me.

It runs through my family story, across generations.
And over the years, caring for cardiac patients shaped me in ways I didn't fully realize at the time.

Last fall, I had my own coronary calcium scan done. Not because something was wrong, but because I wanted baseline data.

I don't just talk about prevention. I believe in knowing sooner, not later. It's much easier to slow or stop progression when you catch it earlier.

Women are often told everything looks "fine", until it isn't. I'd rather help you understand your risk while there's still time to change the story.

For Heart Health month I'm offering something new.
The Redefined Heart Assessment

This is a focused cardiovascular and metabolic screening for women who want clarity, BEFORE a crisis.

It includes:
-Advanced lipid markers
-Insulin + glucose assessment
-Inflammation markers
-Oxygen-carrying capacity
-Vit D
-a 45-min private deep-dive conversation on YOUR data

This is not a rushed visit.
This is not a generic lab review.
You will not hear "all your labs look fine".

This is prevention -- thoughtfully done.

Enrollment for this offer is open through the end of February. Comment or message "HEART" for details.

Heart Disease is still the #1 killer of women.

And most don't see it coming.

We are told:
"Your cholesterol is fine"
"Just lose a little weight"
"Everything looks normal"
"You're just tired"

But rarely are we looking at:
Insulin resistance
Inflammation
Apo-B
Lp(a)
Metabolic patterns over time..the full picture.

Women deserve more than a basic lipid panel and a shrug or a quick statin prescription.

If you've ever wondered what your REAL risk looks like, this month is for you.

This little new “baby nurse” had NO idea how much women’s heart health would shape her career.

Go Red Day was always my favorite day when I worked in the ER at a cardiac hospital.

I loved wearing my little red dress pin.

But what I remember most isn’t the pin.
It’s the women who came in after the fact.

The ones who had no idea they were at risk.
The ones who were told their labs were “fine.”
The ones who were admitted for workup, but damage was already done.

That season of my career is what sparked my deep interest in women’s metabolic and cardiovascular health.

And my own family history has only solidified that conviction.

Prevention matters.
Especially for women.

February is Heart Health Month — before the month has passed by I want to offer something I wish every woman had access to before she ever needs it. ❤️

I’ve been invited to speak at a women’s gathering in Tennessee this weekend (2/21) and am looking forward to sharing a conversation about stress, the nervous system, and midlife resilience.

If you’re in the Northwest GA or Chattanooga, Tennessee area and would like details about attending, feel free to message me.

Grateful for spaces where women can gather and learn together.
