We have recently added several awesome community service partners that we provide Sports Medicine Services to. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Pombo is the new head Orthopaedic Surgeon for UFA and GSA soccer clubs. He has also recently been selected as the head team physician for Meadowcreek high School. He currently is the head team physician for Johns Creek High School, Chattahoochee High School, Northview High School, Berkmar High School, and Shiloh High School. His high demand is a testament to his caring and wonderful ability to connect with athletes and their goals to quickly and effectively return them to the sports they love.

Drs. Maughon and Pombo currently serve the community as head team physicians for the Chattahoochee Cougars, the John's Creek Gladiators, and the Berkmar Patriots. Adding Northview High School to the list this year is a great opportunity and they can't wait to get the Northview Titan Sports Medicine program to the elite level of team coverage it deserves.

The Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Institute of Gwinnett was announced as the new team physician providers for Northview High School. By adding another school to their sports medicine program it means more excitement and fun on the sidelines in their community while watching/keeping their student athletes safe and healthy on the field. Sports Medicine of Gwinnett's very own Dr's Maughon and Pombo to be featured speakers at the annual Sports Medicine Update for the Primary Care Physician on Saturday May 21, 2011 at the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. They are excited to be participating in this event and are looking forward to seeing many new and familiar faces that make up our medical community here in Georgia.
