The impact of the next generation of animal health research is so close you can almost touch it.

Nearly 600 veterinary students gathered at the Veterinary Scholars Symposium to share insights from the research they conducted this summer as part of the Veterinary Scholars Program, forging connections that help shape both their careers and the industry’s future.

Boehringer Ingelheim is the lead sponsor of the event, which also explored emerging topics in veterinary medicine and allowed students to experience working in a range of settings through our virtual reality headsets, developed in collaboration with the USDA.

How can a box help save the planet 📦🌎? We’re switching the way we ship cold chain pet products from Styrofoam packaging to plant-based, recyclable Eco Coolers.

Our new Eco Coolers are not only more sustainable, they’re also more convenient for veterinary clinics. Styrofoam can’t easily be recycled, and disposal can be challenging. Now, busy veterinary professionals can just use their recycling bin.

Alongside the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (ARS), we’ve created a fully immersive virtual reality experience to educate swine producers, veterinarians and the public on foreign animal diseases and the crucial role research plays in combatting them.

This week our U.S. Swine Health team is at World Pork Expo, the world’s largest pork industry-specific trade show, to share education and innovation with veterinarians, pork producers and other industry professionals.

A new survey shows more than 90% of animal owners trust and appreciate veterinary teams - but also underestimate how demanding the profession really is.

65% of animal owners think vets have a good work-life balance. And nearly half of the surveyed vets feel that animal owners underappreciate how they sacrifice their work-life balance to help animals.

Learn more about how veterinarians go the extra mile in ways that too often remain unseen and underrecognized: https://go.boehringer.com/o9qo 💚

The survey is part of the Going Beyond campaign, developed in collaboration with our survey partner Kynetec, WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association), World Association for Buiatrics, the American Association of Swine Veterinarians, VetFamily, and other leading organizations.
