We're open! The wind gusts have died down since this morning enough to get our lifts safely running and open our hill back up for skiing. Thank you for all of your patience (we've been itching to go riding too)!⁠

Looking forward, we have blue skies ahead and temperatures in the mid teens. Who would have guessed that it would turn into a perfect afternoon ski day?

Due to continued high winds, and to ensure the safety of our guests and staff, we are extending today’s delayed opening to 3:00 PM.⁠

🎢 Starting at 5:30 PM, we will have glow tubing available.⁠
📚 Guests with previously booked lift tickets, rentals, and lessons will be contacted directly.⁠
⛷️ Lower Nordic is open and freshly groomed. Upper Nordic has some debris from the storm and is closed at this time. We expect it to reopen tomorrow morning. ⁠
🍔 Riverside Bar & Grill, Moosehead Saloon, and Skyline Cafe are open for normal hours.

Due to high wind gusts, we will delay opening until 12:00 PM today. Winds are expected to die down shortly after 11:00 AM. We’ll continue to monitor conditions and will post here if anything changes. Thanks for your patience.

Fourth Grade Passport Program The Passport application portal has closed for the 2024/25 season, we will open the portal in August 2025 for the 2025/26 seaosn. Any child whose is in the Fourth Grade is eligible to participate once

🚨 Operations Update 🚨
It is cold out there. We are excited to see everyone here enjoying this very Minnesota winter weather! As always, the safety of our guests and staff is our top priority, especially during extreme weather. With the wind chills currently predicted to be in the -40 range and continuing through Monday, we will be adjusting our operational hours this weekend. While we always want to provide as many opportunities as possible to be out here, we also want to let you know our adjustments as soon as possible to allow you to make plans for the weekend.

🌨️ Saturday: Full operations as scheduled. Bundle up and enjoy the slopes!
❄️ Sunday: Tubing will be closed, and ALL operations will end early at 6:00 PM.
🥶 Monday: All operations will be closed for the safety of our guests and staff. *This includes the Nordic center, which will not be groomed.

Stay warm, and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate this chilly weekend together.

🎉 Opening Weekend plans are set! 🎉

We’re thrilled to kick off our 50th Anniversary Winter at Spirit Mountain this Saturday, November 30th from 10 AM – 5 PM! ⛷️🏂

Here’s what you need to know:
❄️ We’ll be running one top-to-bottom run down Bindle Stiff and the Express Chairlift.
❄️ No beginner terrain will be available this weekend.
❄️ All ticketing, season pass pick-up, and rental services will be located at the Skyline Chalet. If you have not picked up your pass yet, you will have to go to the Skyline chalet. No one will be allowed on the lift without a valid 24/25 winter season pass or day ticket, no exceptions will be made.

❄️ A park set is in the plans; stay tuned for more details.

❄️The Skyline Chalet Café (the chalet at the top of the hill) and the Riverside Bar and Grill (at the Grand Ave Chalet) will be open to get a bite to eat.

🎟️ Additional pass pickup will be available this Friday, 11/29, from 1 PM – 5 PM at the Skyline Chalet—skip the Saturday rush!

❄️ While our alpine trails are ready to shred, Nordic skiing won’t be available this weekend. Spirit has unique temperature differences from the top to the bottom of the hill and this can present challenges for snowmaking. While the snowmaking in Nordic is progressing well, we need to keep making snow before we can open any Nordic.

❄️Early season hours will continue through December 12th – Friday-Sunday 10a-5p. Regular season hours will start December 13th

❄️Tubing opening is still TBD and we will let you know soon.

Operations Update: 10 am Bad news. The part for the Express did arrive but unfortunately the lift is still having some mechanical issues and will be down for the weekend. The scenic lift and Bike Park will not be operating this weekend. We are as bummed as you are and appreciate your understanding that sometimes things are out of our control.

The Team Duluth Ski and Snowboard Swap is the oldest swap in the northland. Update your alpine ski or snowboard equipment, outfit your kids, or sell your gently used skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets and clothing.
