ICNA Relief Shifa Free Clinic – Health & Hunger Prevention

ICNA Relief's Shifa Free Clinic, Duluth , in collaboration with the Welcoming Atlanta hosted a Health Fair for the community.

🌟 47 community members received:
✔ Blood pressure screenings
✔ Glucose testing
✔ Health education & counseling
✔ Colon & breast cancer education & awareness
✔ Appointments scheduled for those with abnormal health conditions
✔ Information on ICNA Relief’s free healthcare services

🌟 75 Families received food bags from the ICNA Relief Georgia Food Pantry & Resource center.

Our mission is to combat hunger, promote preventive healthcare and ensure underserved families know that free, resources and compassionate care is available to them.

ICNA Relief's Shifa Free Clinic, Duluth partnered with Northside Hospital for our year-round Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign! The Northside Mobile Mammogram Bus came to Masjid Al-Momineen, serving uninsured women in the Clarkston/Dekalb community.

Early detection = saving lives. For many sisters, this was their first time hearing about mammograms. One patient shared:

"In my country, I never heard of these tests. I’m so thankful I could get screened for free. Now I feel hopeful about my health."

We’re committed to bringing life-saving health services all year round — because awareness and access matter.

🌸 FREE Mammograms Available – Limited Spots! 🌸
ICNA Relief’s Shifa Clinic, in collaboration with East Georgia Cancer Coalition and Northside Hospital, is offering free mammograms for eligible women:

✅ Ages 40 and above
✅ Uninsured or underinsured
✅ With a family history of breast cancer

📣 Only few spots left – clients must be seen by a Shifa Clinic provider by Friday, June 27 to confirm eligibility.

💡 The first step is a visit with our provider. If they meet the criteria, they’ll be scheduled for the mammogram.

🎒 Alhamdulillah! ICNA Relief Georgia successfully distributed 520 backpacks today as part of our Mega Back-to-School Campaign!

A heartfelt thank you to The Baig Firm, The Robert Dowell + TW Foundation for donating brand-new toys, our incredible 3-year partner Kona Ice for the cool treats, special thanks to Masjid Jafar, Helping the Community, Gwinnett Islamic Circle, RCM Service Club, East Cobb Islamic Center - ECIC for their contributions and volunteers, and last but not least our 4-year sponsor Best Buy for gifting tablets to deserving students!

💛 Lots of smiles, excitement, and gratitude filled the air as our superhero Rafiq Vohra helped distribute school bags!
Together, with the help of our amazing volunteers, sponsors, and partners, we have had 5 events and we have distributed over 1,500 backpacks across Georgia and neighboring states!

👏 Special thanks to Congressman Hank Johnson team and Kenya Andrew for showing up and supporting ICNA Relief’s mission on the ground.

🩺 In collaboration with our ICNA Relief's Shifa Free Clinic, Duluth, we also conducted a Health Fair during the B2S event:
• 58 clients received free medical screenings
• Services included blood pressure checks, glucose testing, health education, and referrals to Shifa Clinic Duluth and Decatur for abnormal results
• Clients were also scheduled for follow-up care to ensure their well-being.

📚 But we’re not done yet!
We’re now preparing to disburse tuition funds through our Student Financial Assistance Program to support children from low-income families.

🌿 Health. Hope. A Head Start. 🌿
ICNA Relief's Shifa Free Clinic, Duluth & Decatur, in partnership with Welcoming Atlanta and the Atlanta Mayors office of International & Immigrant Affairs, hosted a heartfelt Health Fair & Back-to-School Supplies Drive — serving 36 individuals with essential medical care and distributing 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to 30 families.

🎒 Because every child deserves a confident start to the school year.
🩺 Because every individual deserves access to healthcare.

Several uninsured attendees were referred to Shifa Clinic for follow-up care — because healthcare should never be out of reach.
