We are so grateful for this opportunity to pick up where Chad left off, serving Eastern Mesabi with mental health support and dedicated personalized care.

After nearly seven years and several hundred clients, I’ve made the difficult decision to close my practice. I will officially be closing at the end of February.

Bringing mental health care to the community I love has always been my highest priority. I’m proud to have transitioned services to Beacon of Strength, ensuring support remains local and accessible.

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the Eastern Mesabi. Due to rising health care costs and the ongoing challenges of insurance reimbursement for a small solo practice, I’ve chosen to step into a different role.

Though this chapter is ending, our community remains in good hands.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me throughout the years—especially my family, and my landlord, Vision Pros, who provided a welcoming and affordable space. Without that support, none of this would have been possible for as long as it was.

We are diving into 2026 with big goals, but wanted to take a quick pause and reflect on the accomplishments of the last year.

In 2025, Beacon had a year of growth.

✨ We opened three new offices: Eden Prairie, Virginia, and Eveleth.

✨ Our clinicians served 376 clients between telehealth sessions, in-office visits and home visits.

✨ We upgraded our Electronic Health Records system to streamline processes and better serve our growing client base.

✨ Our Duluth offices got a major upgrade, moving from individual office spaces to an office suite in the same building. We now have our own waiting room, three connected offices and a play therapy room, plus a mini kitchen for our staff to utilize.

✨ We added four lovely new therapists to the team including our first LPCs Rachel Hanson and Nathan Johnson, another LGSW Nicholas Bennett, and our clinical intern Lauren Beyer.

🙏 We are so thankful for all our clients, therapists and partners throughout the state. We are helping more and more clients reach their mental health goals and we couldn't do it without you.

A couple months ago, we became the Mental Health Expert Contributors for the Neighbors of Eden Prairie Magazine. We love connecting with the EP community, and we're excited for the opportunity to share even more about mental health with everyone.

We'll be hosting a Mental Health Open House and Ribbon Cutting next Wednesday, May 21 from 2-5 pm at Renew Town Center community room 12100 Singletree Lane, Eden Prairie.
