Incorporated in 2012, AHL Healthcare Group was formed to act as a parent company for At Home Living, BRIDGES to Success, and Wesley Residence of Duluth, MN. Our Hermantown crew went and checked out the YMCA at the Essentia Wellness Center block party recently! They had lots of fun seeing all of the animals, enjoying some cotton candy, and getting balloon animals made! Soaking up all of the summer fun! 🤘😁

Our Daniels, Seville, & College houses went out on a boat ride with the St. Louis River Experience - Senior Boating! It was a blast. If you haven't checked them out yet, we highly recommend it! We got out for a few hours and they tell you about all the beautiful scenery! There was an ore boat leaving the docks and we got to see it going under the lift bridge as well! Super cool!

Dayton has been having a blast! We wanted to share an update on what we've been up to. We had a blast on the 4th of July! There is a new neighborhood cat that has been hanging around the house, which has been fun! We nicknamed him "Lowkey" and he loves our front porch (maybe because we've been leaving out some snacks and water), ha! James went to the VA in his new Ranger hat and posed next to a dead deer! James checked out a local car show, we got food at Baskin-Robbins, hit the Anoka Aquatic Center, and have been enjoying Sunday church services! Summertime vibes with the Dayton House!

We are excited to announce that we were nominated for Minnesota's Best 2025 contest with the Star Tribune and placed in two of the three categories we were nominated in! We received a silver (2nd place) in "Best Senior Care Services Customer Service" and Bronze (3rd Place) in "Best Assisted Living"! Thank you to everyone that voted for us, we couldn't have done it without each vote and all of your support! 💪🥹😎

We wanted to share some pictures from the fun night we had at the Family Fun Night event! Our Brookdale, Candlewick & Shenandoah homes all got together and enjoyed hot dogs, soda, watermelon, cotton candy, and lots of fun games! It was an awesome time!

Vanessa, a staff member at our Seville Home, was selected as our North Employee of the month!

Vanessa, although very new to the home, has proved to be a valuable and strong staff. She truly cares about the individuals she's working with. Her nomination was from one of the residents she works with, which speaks volumes. Below is the nomination she received:

"Vanessa is a hard worker. She is also a team player, stays late, and pours her heart and soul into her work. She really cares about her clients. Us clients can always talk to her. I feel safer when she is here. She never speaks harshly or rudely to us. The atmosphere is very positive on her shifts. I trust and admire her!"

Our new Zinc Home is officially open! We worked with Washington County on opening up a fully accessible home in Woodbury! We had our first individual move in this week, Roxy! Roxy has been a ray of sunshine and we're fortunate to be working with her. We're excited for the rest of the folks to move in and having a full house!

Roxy and staff member Grace went to the District 96 Community Education event this week and made Chihuly plastic sculptures last night! It was a great time! We had to share a picture of the fun!

Brooke, a staff member at our Country House, was selected as our Metro West employee of the month!

Brooke is a staple of the Country House. She truly cares and is well respected staff member. We appreciate her happy-go-lucky mindset. Below is the nomination she received:

"I am honored to nominate Brooke out here at Country House for Employee of the month. She has shown outstanding dedication and team spirit, stepping up in ways that truly make a difference in the lives of our residents and her coworkers. Recently, Brooke picked up multiple open shifts to help insure the home remained fully staffed, showing her reliability and strong commitment to the team. In addition to covering extra shifts, she came in early to facilitate an outing for our residents going above and beyond to make sure that the individuals we support could enjoy a good time at the zoo. Brooke consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, flexibility and a willingness to go the extra mile. Her dependable nature and genuine care for the residents do not go unnoticed. She is a team player through and through. Brooke is an excellent example of what it means to lead with compassion and dedication and she is truly deserving of this recognition."

Meet Dustin! Dustin is our newest member of our Forest Lake Home! He's new to the area so he is enjoying doing some exploring around town. This day, we checked out the lake! Dustin has been a great addition to the home and we're happy and fortunate to be working with him.

Today was a tough day at Viking. After 15+ years at the Viking House, DJ is moving out. He will truly be missed at the house and by the Viking family.

Fortunately, AHL had a more accessible home at our Commonwealth Home in Duluth to make it so that he can stay with AHL. We're looking forward to our newest member at our Commonwealth Home. We're happy we can get creative to continue to serve our folks when their needs change.

Thank you to all of our dedicated Viking House staff for all of your years helping DJ thrive. Know that you're welcome at Commonwealth to visit at any time to see DJ! 😁😁

Thanks for throwing DJ a good sending off party. He'll be back to visit!
