DePaul Community Health Centers is partnering with the Dumas School District to host a free Family Night for students, parents, and community members on Tuesday, April 28, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Dumas High School’s Carlbert James Brewer Gymnasium.

The event will feature health care resources, student performances, 15 minute basketball games, college information, family activities, and more.

DePaul Community Health Centers' Gould location participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, which provides free vaccines for eligible children up to age 19.

Children may qualify if they are:
• Enrolled in ARKids
• Uninsured
• American Indian or Alaska Native
• Underinsured (insurance does not fully cover vaccines)

DePaul is proud to celebrate the first graduate of its Get Control program, led and coordinated by our Community Health Navigator, Deshawn Lewis.

This patient successfully completed all program requirements, including follow-up visits and maintaining a blood pressure log, demonstrating true commitment to improving his health. As a result of his hard work, he received a blood pressure monitor and a Walmart gift card to support his continued progress.

Most importantly, he achieved improved blood pressure readings and stronger overall health outcomes!

We are incredibly proud of his dedication and grateful to our team members who help empower patients every day to take control of their health.

Associates from New Orleans visited with fellow staffers in both Dumas and Gould, Arkansas to meet with various local and federal officials to explore ways to enhance health care services for patients. The meetings were coordinated by Lisa Goodgame, DCHC Arkansas’ Vice President of Operations.

As a result of this visit, DePaul Community Health Centers will participate in a major outreach event with the Dumas School District on Tuesday, April 28, and will work with federal officials during a forthcoming visit to Washington, DC to seek opportunities to improve transportation options for patients. The New Orleans associates who travelled to Arkansas included Stephenie Marshall, Executive Director; Harold Ellis Clark, VP of Communications, Fund Development and External Affairs; LaVerne Toombs, Executive Director of Fund Development; and Damara Jackson-Miller, Operations Manager lll.
