The sun is shining in my neck of the woods today and it's a great change from the gloomy - rainy days we've had. I know many people love the winter months of the year but I find them to be too dark, cold and draining. So anytime we get a little sun or a day that's warmer than usual I'm all about being grateful for it (while also being concerned about climate change 🫠). I hope you can find your "sunshine" today and I continue to always wish you well.

What's most important is that in your session, you can be yourself. You can cry, laugh, be angry, etc. and your counselor should provide the safe space for you to express it all.

I'm here when you're ready.

I encourage clients to:
* Limit the amount of time they engage in doom scrolling or watching the news. *Avoid the comment sections on social media news posts.
*Do not start your day or end your day with news.
*Focus your energy on what you have control over: voting, volunteering, sharing accurate information, donating, etc.

Wrapping the year up, laughing with some good people! It feels good to be able to laugh about being self-aware and taking some things lightly. Every day, the more I hear about our worlds current state, I find myself searching for the good, the lighthearted and the hope that 2024 has all the good things in store for us.

It's easy to get distracted by everything that "must" get done on the weekend. Don't forget to prioritize refueling.
