Meet Andy Flesher - our from Duncan Anesthesia. 🌟

• How long have you been a CRNA?
I have been a CRNA for 36 years. My first 7 years were in Kansas City and then 29 years here in Duncan.

• What aspect of your role at DAA do you enjoy most?
What I most enjoy at DAA is the group comradery. We have been fortunate to attract outstanding CRNAs and I look forward to the daily interactions with my peers and the teamwork of the OR
crew!

• I come from a big family.. 3 boys and 3 girls. Grew up in suburban St. Louis. Married to Gina for 38 years. Gina is also an RN currently in education. Son Deren is a Dentist in Edmond and married to Kaylyn with a son Eli and daughter Vivi. Daughter Danielle is married to Bryson and has a spray tan business in Edmond. Daughter Alyssa graduated from college a year ago and is half-way through her MBA coursework.

• If you could be anything else for just one day, what would it be?
Growing up I always wanted to be a pilot. One of my best friend’s father was a commercial pilot and I thought that sounded pretty cool, and the uniform looked great! So I’ll say pilot for a day.

• What is your favorite vacation destination?
We have been fortunate to travel to some great destinations! I don’t know that I could pick a favorite.... might be a place I haven’t been yet! Recent favorites are the Black Hills of South Dakota for domestic and Scotland, Tuscany Italy and Greece internationally.

• How do you define success?
Success is using your gifts to serve others.

This is how close we will be to someone in respiratory failure, in order to secure their airway - clearly less than 6 ft.
We aren’t looking for a thank you or a pat on the back as we truly enjoy what we do and take great pride in serving our patients. We are pleading with you to PLEASE do your part and help flatten the curve, slow the spread and give us healthcare workers a fighting chance to not only help others but also protect ourselves!

Administering pain relief throughout the delivery process is one of the services Duncan Anesthesia Associates provides to the patients they serve in Southwest Oklahoma. By offering this service, patients are able to remain in their community and still receive a safe and top tier level of care.
