From burnout to breakthrough 💜​

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Leigh-Anne, a dedicated cardiovascular nurse, faced relentless demands, burnout, and depression. She felt stuck in a cycle of exhaustion and self-doubt. But she knew one thing for certain: she couldn’t give up.​

Leigh-Anne joined Anytime Fitness in Leesport, PA and committed to 3 training sessions per week. She immersed herself in strength training and powered through heart-pumping cardio that pushed her limits. ​

With every workout, she built muscle, boosted her endurance, and gained confidence, while discovering a passion for fueling her body with the right nutrition. She says AF gave her a sanctuary, a family, and the encouragement she needed to reclaim her life.​

“I couldn’t imagine getting back to that person.”​

That’s what Delane, a former runner and athlete, said when she joined Anytime Fitness Hyannis, MA in 2023. Now? She’s running 5Ks again.​

She was nervous at first. Her knees and shoulder ached, and she worried she "would not be able to keep up." But she trusted in the Coaches at AF Hyannis and now has progressed to 3-4 Small-Group Training sessions per week, has regained full mobility in her shoulder, and is back on the trail running races again.​

Delane has lost 35 pounds of unwanted weight that she gradually gained. She spreads joy and exudes inspiration. She is a huge encourager of others in the gym!​

“I can run. I can play with my daughter. I’m doing things I once thought were impossible.” 💪​

That’s Brandon Williams, 235 pounds today and down 117 since joining Anytime Fitness Minooka, IL. But for him, the change goes beyond the scale.​

“My transformation isn’t just about numbers. It’s about reclaiming my life,” he says. “This time, it was sustainable. I wasn’t just losing weight. I was changing my mindset and lifestyle.”​

From racing at the top to battling a brain tumor, Jenny’s story embodies AF strength, start to finish. ​

A member of Anytime Fitness in Cedarburg, WI for 16 years, Jenny has always been active; she was still nervous to join a gym. ​

She says, "my fear faded with the welcoming, friendliness of the staff. AF offered a wide range of equipment to help me as a runner & become a stronger person overall."​

When she was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2024, she found support and help from the AF staff as she worked harder than ever to regain her strength, endurance, & confidence.​

She says, "I went back ready to walk, run, & start training again, & now I’m training for my next marathon."​

Our Story

While we are part of the 5,000 location strong Anytime Fitness team, our club on the Duncan/Moore border is a family owned neighborhood-sized gym. That allows us to provide our members 24/7 access to all the Anytime Fitness clubs in 20+ countries while maintaining a friendly and supportive environment. Our club owners, Mike and Becky Moshenek, opened the club in 2013, and maintain a hands on approach to running the gym. Most of our staff members have been with us for years, and Mike and Becky feel very lucky to have such a great group of people on the team. We also have an amazing group of members who help us promote a non-judgemental environment where all are welcome.

We genuinely want our members to be successful, and work to make as many tools and information resources available to them as possible. Accountability is also important to help you get over the inevitable humps that everyone encounters in their fitness journey. Some days, even fitness fanatics just don’t feel like lacing up their workout shoes! So we provide a permanently assigned coach who will build a starter workout when you join and work with you 1-on-1. Our free app has 1,000 built-in workouts, fitness tracking, and direct messaging with your coach. We have a detailed club orientation that helps you get comfortable with popular equipment. We also have over 200 virtual classes available on-demand in our classroom. And we regularly have fun club events like participation in local 5k and mud runs, in-club contests, and workouts in the park.

A lot of people also have certain assumptions as to what equipment we have in the club. It covers pretty much everything! We have TRX, resistance machines, cable and free weights, functional training stations, cardio equipment, and a fully “stocked” group exercise room that is yours to use whenever there is no live class in session.

We think the culture of your fitness environment and access to information is just as important to your success as having access to equipment. Drop by for a friendly tour and meet our staff. If it seems like we would potentially be a good fit, but you aren’t quite sure, we are always happy to provide a free 7-day trial. In line with our help first philosophy, when on trial you are welcome to attend the club orientation and your first session with the person who will be your coach.
