When Diane joined Anytime Fitness in Minneola, FL, every step was a challenge. She was determined to regain her independence refused to let Multiple Sclerosis define her.

Michael’s nickname was “Strong Boy” long before the PRs and podiums. After three brain-stem tumors, 200+ procedures, and more hospital nights than anyone should face, it was easy for the world to tell him what he couldn’t do. But a body that once refused to move is now crossing finish lines and lifting more than its weight - with his dad Jon fighting and cheering for him every step of the way.
At their lowest points, neither of them knew the other was wondering if it was still worth it to keep going. But somewhere between the hospital walls and the gym floor, they began living for each other. What started as workouts became something much deeper: a promise to keep showing up, side by side, no matter what the next day brings.
When they first walked through the doors of Anytime Fitness Gig Harbor, it wasn’t about chasing numbers. It was about finding somewhere that felt safe again - a place to heal, to rebuild rhythm and faith, surrounded by people who believed in them as much as they believed in each other. Through the coaches, the community, the everyday encouragers, they became part of the family. Together, they’ve turned pain into purpose, and strength into something greater: hope that keeps showing up.

There was a time when depression, panic attacks, and the fear of being “the new one” made the gym door feel too heavy to open for Danielle. But that Coach's text and the accountability from a welcoming community refused to let her hesitation take over. Strength training became her therapy - releasing anxiety, rebuilding balance, and proving that progress doesn’t start with perfection, it starts with showing up.
Today, Danielle is down 125 pounds and living in a body, and mindset, she once thought impossible. But her biggest transformation isn’t physical. She’s now a coach at Anytime Fitness - Tarpon Springs , using her story to remind others that courage doesn’t mean never being scared; it means walking in anyway.

New look. Same goals. just got a glow-up! 💪
In 2014, Todd and Maryam Silance had a dream to bring accessible fitness to a small rural town. They opened Anytime Fitness Brodheadsville and the gym quickly became a local staple, known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong community ties, and commitment to helping members reach their goals.
Fast forward to today, with a new business partner Scott Cheek and under the amazing leadership ofManager Ellie Stelmach, AF Brodheadsville is considered “home” to many.

Our leadership team spent last week in Boston for the Anytime Fitness Global Conference!
It was an awesome few days learning from some of the best, meeting other club leaders, and getting re-energized around why we do what we do. We came back with fresh ideas, new energy, and a stronger sense of purpose - to keep building community right here at home and help our members live better every day. 💜

Sharon, member of Anytime Fitness Newark, DE is no stranger to battles. When she's not training hard in the gym, she's shaving minutes off her obstacle course times.
Her toughest battle came in 2023: a breast cancer diagnosis. She viewed this as another challenge to overcome. Over the years, AF Newark had become more than just a gym to her – it was a place to "escape and find comfort amidst life’s storms."
As soon as Sharon got the green light after her treatments, she was back in the gym. Her Coaches followed her doctor’s strict guidelines, adjusting her workouts to be just right for her recovery, while focusing on
building back strength and flexibility.
Today, Sharon is stronger than ever, physically and emotionally. Her story is a reminder of how a strong community is important for helping navigate life's challenging times.

While we are part of the 5,000 location strong Anytime Fitness team, our club on the Duncan/Moore border is a family owned neighborhood-sized gym. That allows us to provide our members 24/7 access to all the Anytime Fitness clubs in 20+ countries while maintaining a friendly and supportive environment. Our club owners, Mike and Becky Moshenek, opened the club in 2013, and maintain a hands on approach to running the gym. Most of our staff members have been with us for years, and Mike and Becky feel very lucky to have such a great group of people on the team. We also have an amazing group of members who help us promote a non-judgemental environment where all are welcome.
We genuinely want our members to be successful, and work to make as many tools and information resources available to them as possible. Accountability is also important to help you get over the inevitable humps that everyone encounters in their fitness journey. Some days, even fitness fanatics just don’t feel like lacing up their workout shoes! So we provide a permanently assigned coach who will build a starter workout when you join and work with you 1-on-1. Our free app has 1,000 built-in workouts, fitness tracking, and direct messaging with your coach. We have a detailed club orientation that helps you get comfortable with popular equipment. We also have over 200 virtual classes available on-demand in our classroom. And we regularly have fun club events like participation in local 5k and mud runs, in-club contests, and workouts in the park.
A lot of people also have certain assumptions as to what equipment we have in the club. It covers pretty much everything! We have TRX, resistance machines, cable and free weights, functional training stations, cardio equipment, and a fully “stocked” group exercise room that is yours to use whenever there is no live class in session.
We think the culture of your fitness environment and access to information is just as important to your success as having access to equipment. Drop by for a friendly tour and meet our staff. If it seems like we would potentially be a good fit, but you aren’t quite sure, we are always happy to provide a free 7-day trial. In line with our help first philosophy, when on trial you are welcome to attend the club orientation and your first session with the person who will be your coach.
