It was brought to my attention by a friend that within the past 24-48 hours there has been 3 completed su***des come across the Cambria County scanner. As a mental health provider, someone who dedicated their career to helping this population, it hurts my heart.

If you are having suicidal ideations, please know there is help. Please know there people in this community who are constantly brainstorming better ways to get you the help you need in these crisis situations.

We dont know you, but we care. A lot.

Also, if someone you know is acting concerning and you are worried about them moving in the direction of su***de, talk to them. If you are uncomfortable, that's okay, call someone that is comfortable. I know the biggest concern in these situations is not wanting that person to be upset with you - its better for them to be mad at you and still here.

Our office will be closed tomorrow due to inclement weather. All Monday appointments have been rescheduled to telehealth sessions. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday.
