Another Monday slipped away, but we can’t forget to introduce our employee of the week!

Hi, Lauren!

Lauren began her career in Occupational Therapy in 2012 after earning her Associate of Applied Science degree from Allegany College of Cumberland, Maryland. She gained experience in a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient, nursing homes, and pediatrics, before joining Crossroads in 2013 as a PRN therapist. In 2015, she transitioned to part time and now works full time with the Crossroads team.

She loves her work as a COTA and finds it incredibly rewarding to connect with patients and help them achieve their goals.

Lauren lives with her husband, Scott, and their two children, Michaelyn and Levi. In her free time, she enjoys teaching Faith Formation classes on Sunday mornings, gardening, baking, home renovations, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family.

Krystal has been a physical therapist assistant at Crossroads full-time for 24 years. After graduating from Central High School, she pursued an Associate's degree to become a PTA at Mount Aloysius College and began her first job at Crossroads in 2001. She had sustained a knee injury her senior year in high school, needing surgery and physical therapy, which confirmed her decision to pursue this education. Krystal also taught classes in the PTA department at Mount Aloysius College from 2010-2017. She then took online classes from Pima Medical Institute to earn her Bachelor's degree for health professionals.

Krystal has been married to her husband, Michael, for 23 years and has two wonderful daughters, Rebekah and Sarah, a dog, and two cats. She loves being a mom, spending quality time with many generations of family, and playing lots of games. She has taught piano lessons for over 20 years, and coached gymnastics for 30 years at the Garver Memorial YMCA. She regularly attends church with her family at Curryville where she is the lead pianist. Krystal also enjoys watching her daughters perform in concerts and participate in athletic events.

At Crossroads, she has always loved the faith-based environment they offer to both patients and staff. She lives life to the fullest and loves to help and support everyone around her.
