Saturday morning sessions return this week! Prioritize your recovery this year and feel your best all season long!
Let’s talk a little bit about sport’s performance recovery. The pillars of recovery have always been, and always will be: proper sleep, nutrition, and hydration. These are non-negotiable and must be done to optimize recovery. So what else can you do to enhance your recovery and gain an edge on the competition? This is where active recovery and modalities such as whole body cryotherapy and compression boots come into play.
Low intensity exercise and mobility work gets the body moving and activates your circulatory and lymphatic systems, which is key to help flush toxins and decongest damaged tissues. Whole body cryotherapy can be a great tool to help reduce muscle soreness and global inflammation (similar to an ice bath), while also stimulating the nervous system and causing an endorphin release (due to the extreme cold temperatures).
You spend all off-season and camp preparing your body for optimal performance, it is critical to prioritize recovery in season to keep you feeling fresh and strong.
