Hi all,

Please leave a comment or send us a message if you may know a child under the age of 21 in Georgia who is wheelchair bound or has a severe physical disability such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, etc. We have information about a Georgia Medicaid program which can be very beneficial to families in need. Many families who we have personally spoken to are surprised to hear that their child can receive services at no cost through this state program. This Medicaid program provides in home personal care services, nursing services, or both at no cost for families.

It is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month. Arthritis can cause permanent physical damage to joints, which makes it hard for the child to be able do daily activities such as walking or changing. Medicaid provides services for children with physical disabilities such as these, and currently family members can be paid to be the child’s caregiver as well.
