Thanks to everyone that participated in the first Durand Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive. As a community we collected over 325 jars of peanut butter and jelly for The Durand Area Food Pantry. Prairie State Investments was the individual champion at 121 jars.

Thanks to the newest member of our team MarySue Kinney Andrews and my 3 kids for helping us load and deliver all of this.

Let's shoot for 500 next year!

Congratulations to the Dakota High School Softball Team on making it to state.

Due to this, our office will be closed Friday, June 6th so Mark can go watch his wife Annie (assistant coach) and MarySue can watch her Dad Jeff (head coach) and sister Autumn (starting catcher) try to win the school's first softball State Title.

The Prairie State Sod Busters baseball team came back from Mt Morris with a Championship today. Celebrated Mother's Day with special jerseys, arm bands and roses for moms at lunch.

Peanut butter is one of the most frequently requested items by food banks because it is kid-friendly, shelf-stable, and protein-rich.

With summer fast approaching, kids will be home from school and not have access to the meals they were getting at school during the year. Let’s help the Durand Food Pantry get fully stocked for the summer by having a friendly competition.

If you would like to participate, we will collect jars of peanut butter and jelly for the month of May at our businesses or organizations.
When we are all done, we will count the total number and the business or group that collects the most will be awarded a traveling trophy.

Those participating will also receive a small decal to hang in their window indicating they are a Peanut Butter/Jelly Drop-off sight.
