On February 3rd, we celebrate National Women Physicians Day and honor the trailblazers who changed medicine forever. This day recognizes Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree in the United States in 1849, and the movement she sparked toward equity in healthcare. Grateful for the women physicians who continue to lead, heal, and inspire every day💪🩺

Staff, families, and community members are invited to the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Needham Elementary School (2425 W. Third Ave.). All are encouraged to attend and contribute to the district’s ongoing work to support students through collaboration and shared perspectives.

Child care will be available during the meeting. To request this service, please email Steve Steiner, Coordinator of Special Education, by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4: ssteiner@durangoschools.org. Spanish interpretation will also be available.
