!!! SNAP/food stamp benefits may not be delivered in November !!!

This is a super intense time for everyone. It is so important for community to come together and build ways to support each other as many of our systems continue to experience disruption and chaos.

SNAP (food stamps) will likely not be delivered this month due to the government shutdown. Due to this, the Hive is expanding its teen food pantry to a full community food pantry. The pantry will be operating a main distribution and donation drive on Saturdays from 1-5pm. We ask that larger donations and pickups try their best to fit into that time. However, the food shelf will be open whenever The Hive is open (12-8pm Tues-Sat) if you are unable to make Saturday hours fit your schedule.

We are asking for donations of:

Rice, beans, and other staples
Shelf stable, easy-to-make food
Canned food
Personal hygiene items, menstrual products, diapers, etc.
Chips, nuts, granola bars, and other substantive snacks
Oranges, apples, and other shelf stable fruits & veggies

Downtown Children's Halloween and Carnival is this Friday, October 31, from 4-6pm in Downtown Durango! This is a fun option for kids to trick-or-treat in costume at participating merchants in Downtown Durango. This event also includes a Children's Carnival and trunk-or-treat at TBK Bank parking lot. The games are free for children 14 and under and offer additional fun activities on Halloween night. In addition to the games, approximately 10 businesses will participate in a trunk-or-Treat.
