Hannah’s first monthly Communication Circle is happening on Thursday from 6-7pm. Come connect♥️.

From Hannah: I am honored to be offering this new monthly series. As a social worker, chef, and ecotherapist, I believe that connection is the beating heart of our day to day. I have witnessed time and time again how heartfelt connection offers a sense of belonging and purpose.

As a deep feeler, I know that meaningful conversation is a salve for the confusion, grief, and uncertainty of these times. And yet as we move through the busyness of our days, it can be challenging to find space to pause and drop in. These monthly facilitated conversations are just that: a space to connect, feel, and pause in community.

April’s Community Circle will honor the paradox of being a human right now. This moment in time is filled with delight, despair, rage, joy (and everything in between)... and I believe that authentic conversation reminds us of our capacity to hold it all. I would be honored to have you join me for this new offering. (Please know that you are welcome to join the space whether you feel up for sharing or not. You can listen, share, lay down, or just be.)

A sigh is not just a sigh!

Intentional sighing while practicing yoga involves a deep, elongated inhale followed by an audible exhale. A good sigh not only helps oxygenate the lungs, but also releases physical tension in the body tension and helps a us process our emotions.

At YD our teachers encourage you to take up space with a juicy, audible exhale throughout your practice. Thanks, Brandy!) it might feel a little awkward at first but when you realize how great the release feels in the physical & emotional body you’ll likely yourself happily making some making some noise. It just feels good. 😊

Literally, you guys.
Even though yogis are truly the least judgmental people, we get that it could feel intimidating to roll out a yoga mat in a studio filled with women who practice 2 or 3 times a week. Though the number of men practicing yoga is steadily rising, woman are definitely the majority. This is why we added the Men’s Yoga class on Tuesday mornings from 7:30-8:30. There is no better way to start the day with either Brady or Patrick, the teachers of the class. These guys are excellent and will make learning something new approachable and fun.
Taught by men for men.
It’s the real deal.
Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours. It’s going to feel great to start your day with movement.
Can’t wait to see your faces.

Join Brandy Wade and Alisa Hjermstad (Alisa has her Crystals in the Downtown shop Sticks and Stones) on Saturday, March 11th from 11-1:00 for a soulful journey into intuitive wisdom as we deepen our connection with the crystal beings. Through guided meditation, restorative and yin yoga, sound healing, and heartfelt community reflection, you’ll be gently supported in awakening your inner knowing.

It’s one thing to read about what crystals are said to do—it’s another to sit with each one, set a clear intention, and truly feel what arises within you. In this sacred space, we move beyond intellectual understanding and into embodied experience. Yoga Durango is one of my happy places, whether I’m teaching a yoga class or participating in a class led by one of the many gifted teachers.

There is something uniquely sacred about uniting with community to breathe and move in conscious awareness.
Mahatma Gandhi reminds us, “There is more to life than simply increasing its speed”. This quote emphasizes finding balance and mindfulness over rushing through life in pursuit of something outside of ourselves.

A Monday morning yoga practice is a wonderful way to physically, mentally , emotionally, and spiritually invoke this intention for the week.
