Governor Governor Jared Polis is standing up for justice and fairness for all. His actions to reschedule and pardon non-violent ma*****na offenses, along with urging the Biden administration to do the same, are crucial steps towards a more equitable society.

In December of 2023, I led a group of several governors urging the Biden administration to take the long overdue step to "reschedule" cannabis and remove financial and legal barriers to the ma*****na industry. Prior to that, I issued two executive orders in 2020 and 2021 that pardoned over 4,000 Coloradans with state ma*****na possession convictions of two ounces or less.

As President Joe Biden said, “No one should be jailed just for using or possessing ma*****na.”
