Why isn’t ozone therapy more widely known and used in the U.S.?

There is an easy answer to this question. It isn’t a drug or surgery, therefore isn’t profitable. And healthcare in the U.S. is profit-driven. In the U.S. it is the pharmaceutical companies and other members of the medical industry that decide what is mainstream therapy and what isn’t. For a treatment to become mainstream it has to go through the expense of FDA testing. Unless there is a giant profit to be made off of it, the treatment won’t be able to secure the funding to go through this process. As Dr. Frank Shallenberger states “What could be more profitable than a treatment that eases symptoms while at the same time not curing the problem, and thus guaranteeing long-term use of the treatment?”. Or even better, treatments that cause other problems due to the side effects, which necessitates even more drugs to treat the side-effects of the original treatment.
One example is the use of steroid injections for joint pain. Steroids are potent anti-inflammatories with a host of detrimental side effects. Over time the steroid shots cause more degeneration in the joint, cause metabolic disruption, and increase osteoporosis. What if there was a therapeutic treatment that relieved pain and helped to heal the joint? There is and it is called ozone. And a treatment called Prolozone in which vitamins and nutrients are injected into the joint along with ozone gas.
What is stopping you from trying it? The way healthcare in the U.S. works is that most people choose medical care that is covered by their insurance so if it isn’t covered, it would be too expensive to use the treatment. Right? Wrong. With Prolozone, there are fewer shots involved and the cost is about the same as the co-pay for most insurances. Plus, you are healing yourself instead of being set up for further problems down the road. You don’t have to accept the limitations of mainstream healthcare in this country but you do need to break free of the constrictive thinking regarding your own healthcare choices.

Methods of Administration:

Major Autohemotherapy: A amount of blood of 50cc to 200cc is withdrawn into an IV bag containing the same amount of Normal Saline. An anticoagulant is added along with Calcium and/or Glutathione. Ozone is injected into the bag so that the Ozone only touches the blood before reaching the bag. The ozonated blood is reinfused.

Minor Autohemotherapy: A smaller amount of blood is drawn into a syringe (3-5ml) and mixed with ozone. It is then injected into the gluteal muscle.

Re**al Insufflation: A specific concentration and amount of Ozone gas is administered via a catheter into the re**um.

Prolozone injections: Approximately 5cc of a Vitamin/Mineral formulation is injected into a joint. This is followed by 10cc of Ozone gas.

Limb Bagging: An Ozone resistant bag is place around the affected limb and Ozone is pumped into the bag.

Ozone Sauna: The patient sits in a steam cabinet with head outside. Ozone is pumped into the cabinet for approximately 30 minutes.

Bladder Insufflation: A catheter is inserted into the bladder and solution is administered with Ozone to dwell for 20 minutes. The fluid is then drained, and the catheter is removed.

Ozonated Oil: Used topically to treat many bacterial and fungal infections.

Sub Q Injections: Five to 10 ccs of Ozone gas are injected using a very small needle into the subcutaneous layer.

Ozone Therapy Durango has officially opened! My philosophy is that good health and pain relief should not only be for the well-off or those with good health insurance. OTD is an affordable alternative or adjunct to allopathic medicine. Instead "putting a bandaid" on an illness or injury, ozone helps the body heal. I know because I've been using it for a year now and have experienced the effects. The results are nothing short of amazing.
