Our little garden at Durant Healthcare -Holmes County Longterm Care Center is blossoming beautifully in just 3 weeks!! We are overflowing with gratitude for the abundant rain, and everything is thriving in its refreshing presence. Thank you Mrs Teresa Wassier for all you do for our residents!! We are blessed with the best!!!

Today was such a special day for our residents here at Durant Healthcare! We had the honor of sending five of our amazing residents to participate in the Olympic Games held in Starkville, Mississippi, hosted by the Mississippi Healthcare Foundation.

They had an incredible time competing in events like horseshoe toss, volleyball, archery, and racing. It was wonderful to see their smiles, determination, and team spirit shining throughout the day!

We are so proud of each of them for representing our facility so well and making lasting memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible, it truly meant the world to our residents!

This week we also recognize Social Worker Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible impact Stacey has on the residents, families, and staff here at Durant Healthcare. Social workers are the heart of advocacy, compassion, and support in healthcare. She helps guide families through difficult decisions, provides comfort during challenging times, and makes sure every resident’s voice is heard and respected. Thank you for the kindness, patience, and dedication you show every single day. The work you do often happens behind the scenes, but the difference you make in the lives of our residents and their families is truly immeasurable!!

Today we celebrate Employee Appreciation Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible team here at Durant Healthcare.
Working in long-term care isn’t easy. It takes patience, compassion, and a genuine heart for people. Every single day our staff shows up ready to care for our residents like family, and that doesn’t go unnoticed. From our nurses and CNAs to housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, therapy, and administration — it truly takes every one of you to make this place what it is.

We appreciate you today and every day!
