Let’s talk about your breath—and what it has to do with your pelvic floor.

Spoiler: it’s everything.

Your diaphragm (the main muscle you breathe with) and your pelvic floor are teammates. When you inhale, your diaphragm moves down—and your pelvic floor should gently follow. When you exhale, everything lifts back up.

If you’re constantly holding your breath, shallow breathing, or bracing your core… your pelvic floor might be stuck in that tension, too.

🌀 Trouble relaxing?
🌀 Leaking or pressure?
🌀 Feeling disconnected from your core?

Let’s start with how you breathe.
It seems simple, but breath is one of the most powerful tools we have for pelvic floor function, nervous system support, and feeling more at home in your body.

✨ Breathe low. Breathe wide. Let it all move.

Hey hey hey
Did you know, I’m not just a pelvic floor therapist?

I’m also a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist 💪🏽✨

What does that mean for you?

It means I’m trained to help your body move well and feel strong during pregnancy and after birth—whether you’re weeks, months, or years postpartum.

Together, we’ll work on:
✔️ Core connection (including healing diastasis)
✔️ Breath and movement strategies to reduce pain
✔️ Exercises tailored to your body’s real-life needs
✔️ Building strength without pushing past your limits
✔️ Supporting your nervous system through it all

Your care should go beyond basic stretches and “do your Kegels.”
You deserve support that’s functional, individualized, and trauma-informed.

When you’re ready, I’m here 💛
Let’s make movement feel safe again.

Silicone cupping is one of my favorite tools to support soft tissue, calm the nervous system, and make the body feel less stuck and more supported.

✨ Want to feel looser, lighter, and more mobile?
✨ Dealing with tension that just won’t quit?
✨ Curious how gentle cupping can support pelvic and full-body healing?

This technique can:
✔️ Improve mobility
✔️ Decrease muscle tension
✔️ Boost circulation
✔️ Support lymphatic flow
✔️ Calm tight, overworked areas (hello shoulders, hips, pelvic floor)

And honestly—sometimes it just feels good.
Whether we’re working on abdominal tightness, post-surgical areas, or general tension, silicone cupping can be a great addition to your care.

Let me know if you want to try it in your next session!

Here’s something most people don’t tell you…
If you’re still leaking months after having a baby, there’s a good chance it won’t just go away on its own.

One study followed women for over a decade and found that most who had incontinence at 3 months postpartum were still experiencing it 12 years later.

That doesn’t mean you’re broken.
That doesn’t mean it’s too late.
But it does mean this is worth addressing.

Leaking when you sneeze, laugh, run, or lift your kids isn’t something you just have to live with. Pelvic floor therapy can help restore strength, coordination, and confidence in your body—whether you’re 3 months or 13 years postpartum.

You deserve support. Let’s get you started.

Reposting this as an oldie but definitely a goodie.
Because I still make this face 😒 every time someone says:
“Just do Kegels.”

Let’s break it down:

👉 Not everyone should be doing Kegels
👉 Most people aren’t doing them correctly
👉 And your pelvic floor is more than a squeeze—it’s a whole system that needs coordination, breath, and space to move

Kegels aren’t bad—but they’re not the whole picture.
If your pelvic floor is already tight, tense, or not coordinating well, more squeezing might actually make things worse.

Let’s stop oversimplifying pelvic health.
Let’s ask better questions.
Let’s take care of our whole selves. 💛

* Shared with consent* Have you ever wondered what an internal pelvic floor assessment looks like? I will start off by saying, an internal isn’t always a necessary tool to use in your plan of care with pelvic floor therapy, but when it can be beneficial and the client consents then we gather more information from the body with an internal assessment. This should thoroughly explaining the process, visuals, handouts, etc! This should include education, empowerment, cues, consent, comfortability, eye contact, conversation, different cues to see what resonates with you & your pelvic floor most, different breath cues, slowing down & explaining, letting you know what’s happening when it’s happening. Coordinating your breath with your pelvic floor is work, and I am here to guide you to improve your relationship with your pelvic floor!

Client Success Story:

This client had completely stopped jogging and working out. Every time she ran, she felt pain and a heavy, “falling out” sensation in her abdomen—along with lingering discomfort throughout the day. It took nearly a year of back-and-forth (and a few coffee shop run-ins) before she finally decided to book. She was nervous about investing in herself and wasn’t sure if it would be worth it.

But after just five sessions, this client was back to doing everything she loved—with zero pain and a new sense of connection to her core. She told us she got more out of it than she ever imagined and wished she hadn’t waited so long.

👉 The takeaway? You don’t have to live with discomfort. Investing in your body can give you more freedom, more strength, and more confidence—and it often takes less time than you think.
