The Basics of Pelvic Health: Reconnecting with the Foundation of Your Body
Your pelvic floor is the foundation of your core.
It’s a coordinated part of your breath.
It’s an integral component of your nervous system.
And for some folks, it’s a part of the body that may feel confusing, tense, disconnected, or simply unfamiliar.
Maybe you’ve noticed:
-Tension you can’t quite release
-Difficulty fully emptying your bladder or bowels
-Discomfort with intimacy
-A sense of pressure or heaviness
-Or subtle symptoms that are hard to put into words
These experiences are common, but you don't have to live with them. And they deserve thoughtful, intentional, and respectful care.
In this inclusive and trauma-informed workshop, together we’ll gently explore:
-What the pelvic floor is and how it connects to your breath and core
-The important roles it plays in support, regulation, and function
-How dysfunction can present in everyday life
-How pelvic health physical therapy can help restore coordination, balance, and a sense of safety in the body
This is not about pushing through discomfort.
It’s about understanding your body and working with it.
