Would anyone else like to point out the irony of ICE agents (all sons and daughters of immigrants) detaining Native Americans?

Incidents involving ICE agents and Native American community members have prompted tribal leaders and Native advocacy groups to mobilize resources and provide guidance to tribal citizens and families.

Here I am! Hineni. Here I stand.

It has been a minute!. Sadly, I did exactly what my marketing folks warned me NOT TO DO a few years ago, and let my social media go dormant.
My coaching practice went dormant as well, derailed by the realities of being an overworked physician during the pandemic and by a move from chilly Minnesota to steamy North Carolina. My hair got grayer, my home and community and medical doctor changes. SO MANY transitions! New communities to join, new learning opportunities, kids growing up and launching.

I've been redefining who is "Vivian" and who is "Dr. Fischer". It has been a minute of growth and recalibration.

Well, here I am. Hineni. I am back. I am here.

So many questions to ponder as I shift back to a mindful practice and ponder restarting an active coaching practice. What will my "niche" be now that "pandemic survival and recovery" are no longer people's defining reality. What will I focus on in my posts? Is anyone still out there listening to comment? What do you hope to hear about?

Happy Passover!
May this holiday remind us, not just of the story of our liberation from Egypt, but of the central lesson: "Remember not to oppress the stranger or alien among you, for you were once strangers in the land of Egypt". May we continue to work diligently in our communities, our nation, and our world, to ensure that oppression of others will not be tolerated!

My knee is not quite up for a full 2 hour shift of dog walking, but if I hadn’t shown up to help, none of these guys would have had a walk til tomorrow.
