Meet Dr. EileenConaway, DO, IBCLC, NABBLM-C — a physician and lactation consultant who offers a uniquely powerful blend of expertise in lactation support as a double board-certified Osteopathic Physician and Breastfeeding Medicine Specialist (NABBLM-C), as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With a deep understanding of the body’s structure and function, she helps families navigate complex feeding challenges with expertise and compassion - treating both mothers and babies.

After graduating from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (Class of 2010) and completing a dual residency in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Florida Hospital East Orlando, Dr. Conaway realized that despite breastfeeding being “natural,” it’s often not easy—and many families need timely, skilled support to meet their feeding goals.
That insight led her to pursue additional training in lactation and become an IBCLC.

Today, she integrates osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) with lactation care to address feeding challenges like torticollis, low milk supply, latch issues, and postpartum pain.

In Part 2, we check in weeks later to explore what changes held steady, what faded, and how mindful movement and fascial work play a role in healing—for both adults and infants.
