Happy self-care Sunday! We hope you are all enjoying the last week of 2025. Take some time for yourself today and maybe use one of our self-care rituals. Journaling and walking are two ways to express yourself and slow down. Take time to appreciate yourself and how far you have come this year.

Anxiety rates have surged 25% globally since the pandemic, and things haven’t leveled off. In the U.S., 43% of adults report feeling more anxious than they did the previous year — up from 32% just two years ago. That’s a sustained upward climb, not a temporary spike. And despite all this, only 24% have talked with a mental health professional. That leaves a lot of people looking for other tools. Swipe through to read more about the amazing effects music has- especially instrumental music- on anxiety and cortisol levels.

Are you or someone you know struggling with anxiety? Reach out today and schedule an appointment with the Purpose Center.

Our Story

Founder Statement & Mission: My own personal journey of work/life balance, mind-body connection, and curious and compassionate engagement with the world has fueled me to seek new opportunities to develop and grow. This helps me find a deep sense of meaning and purpose in my own life. I thoroughly enjoy supporting others in their growth experiences and have brought together practitioners who focus on positive change.

My interest in forensic psychology derives from my desire to ensure that people are treated justly and that everyone has the same opportunities. To me, justice emphasizes logic and weighing principles to determine moral rights and responsibilities. It also includes care reasoning which involves empathy and compassion; the ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. I want to know that my work and expertise is helping make a positive difference in the world. Not many practitioners feel comfortable working within the legal system; therefore, I have brought together clinicians, and partner with other professionals, who provide people with opportunities for respectful conflict resolution.

I also highly value mentoring and coaching, so providing opportunities for students in training, as well as new mental health professionals, who want to get established before making their own way in the world is an important component of my practice.
