Our Story

We have advanced training in Medical Massage, Trigger Point Release, Cupping, Lymphatic Drainage, Warm Stone, Prenatal and Reiki. Kelly Bowers, BA, LMBT, NC #16669, has been a licensed and practicing massage therapist since 2000. Over the years she has come to focus on pre- and post-surgical support using Manual Lymph Drainage, Scar Release, and Myofascial Release. She uses these same skills to support people living with chronic conditions, like venous insufficiency and inflammatory conditions. She has extensive experience helping clients live with the challenges of modern life such as office work, long hours in a car, and mobile phones. She also provides a lovely relaxation massage. She has worked in a wide variety of settings and has worked with hundreds of people which leads her to her most passionate mission: helping people live comfortably in and peacefully with their bodies. Prior to becoming a massage therapist Kelly was a technical writer, specializing in explaining the technical to non-technical audiences. She still uses those skills to help her massage clients understand what is happening in their bodies and how massage therapy affects that.

Tonya Wooten, LMBT, Master Sergeant, NC #12069, has been a licensed and practicing massage therapist since 2012. Tonya is also a 23 year veteran of our US Army. This combination of experience gives Tonya the unique ability to help veterans and others dealing with PTSD and the challenges that accompany that condition. She helps her clients gain relief from pain by using Trigger Point therapy, Neuromuscular Release Therapy, Sports Massage and Reflexology. Prior to working with us, Tonya worked in a chiropractic clinic that specifically worked with patients suffering from headaches. She also worked in a spa so she has a great ability to combine pain relief with relaxation.

Beth Jenkins, LMBT, NC #17128 has been a practicing massage therapist since 2005. During this time she has worked with thousands of clients to help relieve chronic pain patterns. She has also taught massage therapy, specifically kinesiology and introduction to massage therapy, to students in the diploma program at Fortis College in Richmond, VA. Beth is also a Reiki master and has extensive training in working safely and effectively with oncology patients, trigger point release, lymphatic drainage, and warm stone massage. Her extensive experience in the spa world allows her to give an amazing relaxing massage. Her natural pressure is a medium pressure, but she is able to work a large range from very light with her oncology and lymph drainage clients to heavy for her deep tissue clients. While in massage school, her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Beth decided to learn everything she could to help her mother and also to help others who are dealing with the many facets of a cancer diagnosis. Beth traveled all over the country and has over 100 hours of training in oncology massage. She also has over 30 hours of training in manual lymphatic drainage. She is a perfect combination of educated specificity to help treat areas of pain, and relaxation to help your nervous system incorporate the work.
