We hosted our annual SHRED-A-Thon/Fraud Prevention event in collaboration with Medication Take back this past Saturday. The NC NC Department of Insurance SHIIP was the grantor that made it all possible!

Highlights:
-10,350 lbs. of paper were shredded
-the Sheriff's Department collected 373.4 lbs. of medications!

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and staff leaders (Katrina Nesmith) for gathering a great crew including the following partners: Duke Trauma Center and Durham County Safe Kids, Durham County Sheriff's Office, Durham County Government - Durham County Department of Public Health, Alliance Health, NC Department of Insurance and the Office of State Fire Marshal, Insight Human Services, and AARP North Carolina AARP – Durham Chapter.
