We are busy getting ready for our drive through flu vaccine clinic tomorrow morning at our north Durham office! It will be from 8-11am, reminder of our traffic flow is below. Weather permitting, we plan to stay outdoors but may shift indoors if necessary. See you then!

We hope you all had a nice summer!
Back to school and the fall season means flu season will be upon us soon though and Regional Pediatrics will start offering influenza vaccine next week in the office. We will also have two Saturday morning drive-through flu vaccine clinics at our north Durham office (4022 Freedom Lake Drive, Durham 27704) in the front parking lot:
September 27 and October 25 8:30-11:30am

You can call either office: 919-477-2202 (north Durham) or 919-544-2049 (Sutton Station) to schedule.
If this is the first time your child is receiving flu vaccine, it is recommended to receive a booster shot 4+ weeks later in order to be effective.

We do not have information about COVID vaccine availability at this time. If it can be obtained through Duke, we will offer that as well.

Update on our north Durham office renovations: great news, we are on schedule and halfway done!
Big change to let you all know about though- starting tomorrow we are moving into the second phase which means the patient entrance will temporarily be at the back of the clinic. We are excited to open up the newly renovated areas and appreciate your patience while we try to finish this summer.

We are excited to be starting our long awaited renovations at our north Durham office today! Unfortunately this will reduce capacity at our Freedom Lake office by ~40% for the next 3 months. But our Sutton Station office has the space to accommodate the extra pediatricians, staff and patients so we will be scheduling more appointments there. We apologize for any inconvenience this summer because of the construction.

We hope everyone is staying safe today as Hurricane Helene is passing through. Our first Fall 2024 influenza vaccine clinic is tomorrow morning, Saturday September 28th from 8:30-11am at our north Durham office! Same traffic flow as in previous years. We will also have Moderna COVID vaccines (6 months-11 years old) available too. Please call either of our offices (919-477-2202 or 919-544-2049) if you have any questions.

Back by popular demand, Regional Pediatrics will once again have our Saturday Drive-Through Flu Vaccine Clinics this fall.
As before, it will be in the front parking lot of our north Durham office at 4022 Freedom Lake Drive, Durham 27704.
The first one will be on Saturday September 28, 2024 from 8:30-11:30am.

You can call either office: 919-477-2202 (north Durham) or 919-544-2049 (Sutton Station) to schedule.
If that date doesn't work, then you can schedule a nurse visit at either office instead. We have available appointment slots for next Friday September 20.
If this is the first time your child is receiving flu vaccine, it is recommended to receive a booster shot 4+ weeks later.

We are not sure when we will have COVID (Moderna) vaccine as currently it is still unavailable to order. Once we do receive it, we will only have COVID vaccine for 6 months old to 11 years old. Apologies for any inconvenience but for 12 years old and older, please call the health department or any local pharmacy.

Let us know at the time of scheduling if you would like your child to have the COVID vaccine in addition to flu vaccine if it is available by the date of the drive through clinic 9/28/2024.
Same as the flu vaccine, if this is your child's first COVID vaccine, it is recommended to have a booster shot 4+ weeks later. We do not recommend COVID vaccine if your child has had COVID within the past 3 months.

We have also been getting questions regarding the RSV vaccine (Beyfortus). It is recommended for infants

Unfortunately, the worldwide technology outage is affecting the Duke computer network too and thus we have very limited access to patient charts and scheduling. The phones are still open, and we are still seeing all same day sick visits appointments. We are having to re-schedule some checkups and will contact you if that is necessary. There will likely be a delay in any MyChart messages and medication requests. Please call the office for more immediate assistance if you need it. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We will update this post when we are back online.
