🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

At Lincoln Community Health Center, we proudly stand with the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and honor the angels whose courage continues to inspire us. 💗

Since October 2022, our team has helped complete:
📋 9,185 screening mammograms
🔍 4,425 diagnostic mammograms
🩺 316 biopsies

Each number represents a life touched, a story continued, and a reminder that early detection saves lives.

Breast cancer awareness is more than a month — it’s a movement. We encourage everyone to schedule a mammogram, share resources, and support the women and families in your life by making health a priority.

🚨 Medicaid Cuts Threaten Care 🚨
On October 1, NC DHHS plans to cut Medicaid provider rates—putting children, people with disabilities, and working families at risk. These cuts would hit Community Health Centers hard, forcing longer wait times, reduced staffing, and fewer services.
👉 But DHHS does not have to act yet. Both the NC House and Senate have already passed funding bills. Governor Stein can prevent harm by delaying the cuts until the budget is finalized.
