Sitting all day? Your hip flexors might be the reason your lower back is screaming.
When you're sitting, your hip flexors stay in a shortened state. Over time, they start pulling on your lower lumbar vertebrae, creating that deep ache in your low back. The fix? This couch stretch.
Find the edge of your couch, put a pillow down for your knee, and place that back leg up. Lean forward with your chest tall, and you'll feel it go right into that hip flexor and quad.
Do this while you're watching TV. Your back will thank you.
