Amidst the devastation from Hurricane Helene in the Western part of our state, we are grateful for our resources and what we continue to tend to:
Li-Lan Hui-Chun’s Gratitude inspiration today:
“On this Libra new moon, I new level of gentleness infuses within me. Yes, your tears and your suspiro* melt any lingering armor within my Pericardium*, but it also confirms both the softness that is inherent within each one of us as well as our interconnectednes.
Your neck sinks into my hands with a trust that I am touched to have been given, and am humbled that you allow. It comes from the power of your own knowing.
It is the knowing of your coming down, your own release, your own return, of your own exhale.
That in turn, allows the inspiration of the next inhale”

*Pericardium is a physical as well as metaphorical Heart Protector in Chinese Medicine. It protects the purity of the Heart from being assaulted by heart pains/trauma.
This writing is inspired by people I have been in contact with today, reminding me that grief can be gentle, that physical touch is healing. ❤️🩹 thank you for being the physical space that has provided for so many.
