🌊Experiment aligning with your nature instead of against it. If your energy comes in bursts rather than steady waves, what happens when you use those bursts intentionally then let yourself deeply rest when it fades.

🌊Notice what flows naturally for you this week and see what happens when you tend to it with curiosity instead of control.

By learning to be present and intimate with our own inner experience, we can be more available with others— this is the foundation of relational somatics.

Hi, I’m Leslie! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT 10419), and long-time yoga and mindfulness/meditation teacher, I bring over two decades of experience in guiding individuals towards self-awareness, embodiement, and reconnecting with their unique wholeness. My work highlights the inherent health of each individuals system. My approach is relational, experiential, and trauma-informed.

Drawing from Somatic Experiencing®, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian and depth psychology, and mind-body-soul practices, I support clients in trauma resolution, deepening self-connection, and cultivating inner resilience. I believe true healing unfolds when we approach the human experience as an integrated system—where emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions are honored as interdependent pathways toward growth.

I’m passionate about helping individuals and practitioners alike develop a secure relationship with themselves which deepens ones capacity for connection, authenticity, and presence.

I live in Durham, NC, and when I’m not working, I love visiting the beach, walking along the Eno River, writing, and spending time with my animals. I also dedicate time to my own meditative and embodied practices. ✨

I try to practice one or two things daily where I intentionally move at half speed and notice what becomes more available in those moments.
Try it on and let me know what you notice!✨

The end goal is feeling…we may practice behaviors or rituals, but what we are ultimately doing is practicing a feeling practicing a new way of being.

This helps us bring the unconscious to consciousness, dismantle old belief systems, take off old judgments, and free those hidden and loathed parts of us and finally hold them in esteem.

Witness our wounding, gently, creates a deep felt sense of peace.

We often talk about wanting a calm nervous system, but the truth is, what we really need is a system that can move with ease, flexibility, and resilience. One that can flow with energy when needed, but also return to a sense of calm when we need to ground. It’s like your breath—constantly moving, but always coming back to center.

When we give our nervous system the space to be in this flow, we start to feel peaceful, no matter what’s going on around us. Not in a forced way, but in a way that feels natural and rooted. 🌱

The key? Take a few minutes each day to slow down. Focus on something that brings you even a small sense of peace—whether it’s a feeling, a thought, or just the sensation of your breath. Let your body soften into that experience.

5-10 minutes a day is all it takes. That small, consistent practice helps your nervous system become more adaptable and grounded over time. And when life gets intense, you’ll find yourself able to shift back to your center more easily.

It’s not about being calm all the time—it’s about having the capacity to find your calm, whenever you need it. 🙏

If you’re looking to build more resilience and peace from the inside out, this simple practice can be a powerful start.
