We love seeing the incredible work of our team recognized beyond the studio 💜

Our very own Toby Matthews was featured in the American Massage Therapy Association’s Massage Therapy Journal article, “How NCAA Basketball Teams Are Using Massage Therapy” by David Malone, discussing the benefits of massage therapy for elite student athletes.

Toby brings decades of experience, thoughtful care, and a deep understanding of movement to every session — whether he’s working with high-level athletes, longtime movers, or clients simply wanting to feel better in their bodies. We’re so proud to have his expertise as part of the IOBT community.

It’s time to meet your current (or soon-to-be) favorite piece of Pilates equipment… the Cadillac ✨

We’re lucky enough to have five Cadillacs in the studio (plus 4 pole systems), so our group classes can have up to 7 clients — with room for privates happening at the same time.

Clients love the Cadillac for the support and the stretch it offers. In Intro & Level 1 you’ll get familiar with all the fun accoutrement: leg springs, arm springs, roll down bar, push through bar, fuzzies, and trapeze.

Stay tuned for our higher level exercise videos… because eventually this very supportive setup starts to feel a lot more like a jungle gym 🤸🏻‍♂️

Meet our newest Teacher Trainees: Danielle💜

I came to Pilates searching for exercise—and a way to support my mental health. What I found was so much more. As Joseph Pilates said, “Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit,” and that truth quickly turned my curiosity into a passion. Developing my mind-body connection has been truly transformative—and it’s inspired me to help others experience the same. When I started searching for a comprehensive training program—the “Harvard of Pilates”—instantly sparked my interest. That path led me to TPC and ultimately to InsideOut. I’m excited to be completing the Advanced Teacher Training Program and can’t wait to share what I’ve learned as a Comprehensive Certified Pilates Teacher.

I completed Advanced Teacher Training Program at IOBT in 2020… and never left!

Training & Professional Highlights:
🩰 First took mat pilates as a requirement at Alabama School of Fine Arts where I studied ballet and modern dance
🎓 B.A. in Dance Performance and French & Francophone Studies from Muhlenberg College

🥰 What she loves most:
I love that each client is unique and that my job is to find the way that Pilates can most benefit them. For my fellow Type A girlies maybe the mindfulness of focusing on only your body for 50mins and quieting everything else is the goal, for my 70+ Pilatessas/os maybe proving that you have the strength to do a teaser on the long box or to do an upside down push up is the dream, and for my gym bros who feel back pain when they lift? Let’s get those abs working, please!

Continuing our mission to demystify the world of classical Pilates ✨

If you’ve heard of Pilates, you’ve probably heard of the Reformer—here Heather flows through the introductory + Level 1 exercises from the classical repertoire.

You’ll notice some familiar themes from our Chair video: starting with footwork, moving between Pilates V (external rotation) + parallel, and exploring both neutral + flexed spine positions. The Pilates system is intentional, connected, and designed to build on itself.

Do all of these exercises look brand new? Our Beginner Pilates classes are exactly where you want to start.

And if you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it: we’re offering community pay-what-you-can classes all day on Saturday, May 2 (aka International Pilates Day 🎉).

We are so excited to announce our newest graduate from ’s Intermediate Teacher Training Program at InsideOut Body Therapies: Sarah! ✨

With a background as both a physical therapist and dancer, Sarah brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented eye and incredible partnering skills to her teaching. We can’t wait to see the ease and confidence she’ll help so many clients find in their movement.
