Study Volunteers are Medical Heros

We firmly believe that study volunteers in clinical research are crucial in the advancement of medicine. Without their participation, new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases cannot be achieved. Study volunteers are our medical heroes!

While at the Duke Early Phase Unit, volunteers are cared for by a team of hospital-credentialed nurses, certified nursing assistants, certified medical assistants, medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and nutrition personnel.

Conducting more than 70 active studies annually, our state-of-the-art, hospital-based research unit is located in a world-renowned academic medical environment that offers both standard and specialized services.

We recognize how important volunteers are to our mission and are committed to give back. Participants in our studies will have the option to receive updates on study results and publications.
