GPP (General Physical Preparedness) Weekly Class – open to anyone - a focus on the 10 aspects of fitness: cardio, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, coordination, balance & accuracy – great for current athletes looking for that competitive edge, previous athletes that want to feel like they’re training again or non athletes looking to get optimal health in their lives. Perfect for anyone looking to be a better human. Every movement is modifiable to enable clients to get started in small classes or personal training at any range of capability to be able to enrich their lives and the lives of their families. Classes currently offered every MWF 6am, 8am, 9am 3:30pm & 6pm - $75/month, First class free - $10 a drop in after – No ability required!! Community Calendar: We strive to create a supportive & encouraging atmosphere with our amazing community of athletes (yes YOU are ALL athletes) through a variety of outside the shop athletic events. Set goals and post it on the group calendar or chalk wall in the bathroom so we can all partake or come root you on! From local 5ks, 10ks and marathons, to Tough Mudders, to triathlons, to hiking in upper park, to sprint car races to high school sport competitions. Join the community!

Hey Gang! Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend as we give thanks for the sacrifices of our freedom. Coached Open Gym tomorrow 8-9am but open gym all day! You have the option to endure the MURPH Hero Workout to honor our veterans but there will also be a normally programmed workout as well. If you'd like to workout before coached class just shoot me a text for the door code.

Athlete Group is rolling at 9am tomorrow but then normal schedule the rest of the week before we switch over to summer schedule June 1st.

Many gym peeps have been doing closet clean outs and have had a lot of gym clothes practically brand new or that still have a lot of life left in them. This week I will put some laundry baskets in the gym office for a Gym Clothes Swap! If you see anything in there you want, TAKE IT and if you've got clothes you no long need but still have good life left in them, throw them in the baskets! Next week I will bag up anything left and drop off at the Arc.

Holy moly are you ready for the glorious warm weather this week?! Be mindful it's always the first time after winter of experiencing 80s and 90s that we can get overheated easier than normal as we acclimate! Start tracking your water in ounces each day this week. Shoot for half you body weight and don't be afraid to throw in a little sea salt if you're going to be sweating! Also don't be afraid to dial back the intensity on your workout especially if it's in the afternoon.

Loved laying off social media last week! How did YOU do?? Made me really love this quote:
"Comparison is the thief of joy" -Theodore Roosevelt. Going to decide some rules for myself for this week or maybe just keep staying off... what about you???
