Located in downtown Durham's American Tobacco Campus, we offer yoga classes every day of the week. The idea of a neighborhood studio on Ninth Street started as the personal goal of one Duke Alum and manifested as the result of a close knit and supportive community in Durham and the Triangle, as a whole. Yoga students of all levels are welcomed to roll out their yoga mats and flow with us. Our Values
RITUAL. The discipline of showing up brings incredible rewards. COMMUNITY. Together we strengthen our collective positive impact. PERSONAL GROWTH. Your work in the world matters. CREATIVITY. Our studio is designed to nurture your creative spirit. SIMPLICITY. We believe it’s important to “keep the ease alive”

👀 Have you taken a look at our fall schedule? A few things to note:

🍁Slow Flow: An Unhurried Practice for Fall is coming up on Saturday, September 20th from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Space is still available for this special opportunity to get grounded in the fall season with Jen. Sign up here: https://api.hellowalla.com/previews/59039?b=2228&type=enrollment

🍁 The Fall Sunday Series is going strong, with seasonally-themed, regularly-priced classes by rotating teachers every Sunday at 6:00 PM! This Sunday, September 21st, join Hannah for Balance for Fall. (Note: Our Seasonal Sunday Series started out as our Summer Pop-Up Series — but since these popular rotating classes are now a regular part of our schedule, we’re no longer calling them pop-ups.)

🍁 But you’ll still see classes “popping” into the schedule every now and then, like Jen’s Balanced Flow Pop-Up at 12 PM on Tuesday, September 23rd. These are fun little one-off surprises that just might fit into your week!

Happy fall, y’all! We’re loving practicing with you this season.

Most of us know that exercise boosts mood, but a 2025 University of Georgia study shows that exercising with friends or in enjoyable community settings offers even greater mental health benefits than moving out of obligation or to just “get a workout in.” The researchers of this study emphasized that the context of your movement — who you’re moving with and why — has a big impact on the mood-boosting effects. 🤗 Another great reason to practice in a community you love. 🤗

Our Story

The idea of a neighborhood studio on Ninth Street started as the personal goal of one Duke Alum and manifested as the result of a close knit and supportive community in Durham and the Triangle, as a whole. Yoga students of all levels are welcomed to roll out their yoga mats and flow with us.

Yoga Off East is a giant exhale, from the moment you walk in the door. We are your sacred break from the busy, a moment to ground during your day. We are passionate about creating a space where every body is family.

Welcome home. We’re located on Ninth Street, just off Duke’s East Campus.
