Thread the Needle helps to stretch the upper body (shoulders, chest, arms), making it the perfect cool-down pose in Tiger’s Eye. Try this variation for a deeper stretch, and to have some fun!

🔸 Take a moment to settle into the initial pose, either with your “top” arm extended or wrapped behind your lower back.

🔸 Engage your core and start to extend the leg on the same side as the “top” arm toward the back of the room, eventually lifting your leg and pointing your toes toward the ceiling.

🔸 Work on stacking your hips and opening toward the side of the room. This will challenge your balance too!

“Pro” tip: it’s easier to try this pose for the first time with your top hand planted on the mat below your shoulder. Don’t forget to practice on both sides (remember, it’s normal for one side to feel different than the other)!
