Welcome Back Everyone!

We hope that this letter finds you and your family in good health. We are happy to announce that, after 8 weeks of being closed, our office is ready to reopen and carefully resume seeing patients for both routine recare visits (cleanings) and restorative treatments. It has been a long time coming!

To ensure the safety of our patients and staff, we have been following the evolving guidelines from the ADA and CDC and made changes to our protocols at the office in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be incorporating the use of proper PPE with additional scrubs, jackets, gowns, face shields and masks. You will notice HEPA/UV air filters in each room, draping and barriers, and at times aerosol scavenging in use. In the front office we have arranged the chairs to allow for social distancing, provided hand sanitizers, and our staff will be smiling behind a mask all day. All patients will be asked to wear a mask and complete a quick screening process upon entering.

We are excited to see you again, but our schedule is being adjusted and staggered to allow for more distance between patients and time to disinfect. You might notice some slight differences in appointment times, or a request for you to call when you arrive for your appointment. More information will be given on that when you receive your reminder call.

For the past four weeks, we have been staying at home. We are doing our part washing our hands, wearing our masks while out, and social distancing. Doubtless, we are beyond ready to put COVID -19 behind us. However, we want you to know that we are here for you, on-call, should you have urgent dental concerns that require more immediate attention this week, or in the next couple of weeks. Simply call the office and leave a message or use the emergency number provided.

As many of you already know, we will be working hard to reschedule ASAP the appointments that you’ve had to cancel due to the shutdown.

Also, you can be assured that when we reopen, and we are filling the schedule with patients again, things may be a little different. We are monitoring the recommendations of the CDC and the ADA for safe delivery of dental care and keeping a safe office environment once the threat of the virus is diminished. These changes include patient care in the treatment rooms, as well as considerations for accompanying friends and family. We want everyone, including your healthcare providers, to remain safe and healthy.

In the meantime, let us all continue doing our part to flatten the curve, eliminate this terrible virus, and get our lives back to normal as soon as possible!
