Our Story

My son, Michael Scott and I started this business together, as a way to provide compassionate, yet affordable care to the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. As transplants from New York City, we wanted to help our adoptive state achieve greater levels of health, both mentally and physically. Over the years, we have helped many people live the best life possible.

On December 21st, 2017, we lost Michael. His lost had a profound impact on this practice and the lives of those he worked with. At times the grief seemed overwhelming and totally unbearable. How were we going to manage without Michael? His positive energy and infectious spirit was the driving force behind this practice. It became necessary to take a breath, so we could recover and continue the work Michael and I started. It would have been difficult to walk away from this practice because it would mean not being able to help my patient, who over the years, have become friends. My patient’s and the desire to not give up or give in, has driven me to continue my mission to provide the best care I can for my community. It has not been easy, but I am determined to continue moving forward.

Social, economic, mental and physical health, substance abuse issues, emotional health and wellness, and physical fitness are all concerns at Juanita C Perkins Healthcare FNP-BC. We offer natural/holistic options to help with diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity/weight concerns, and more. Mental health and substance abuse issues are treated by using medications and other complimentary treatments which utilizes the mind/body/spirit. Juanita C Perkins FNP-BC Healthcare is a fully integrated health practice. We accept most insurances, including Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, and Tricare. No insurance? That’s not an issue for us. We have an affordable cash option available.
