Kimberly Cox, Physical Therapy, is the Robert Packer Hospital Pillars of Excellence Award winner for August!

Kim takes great care in listening to her patients and addressing their concerns. "Despite the challenges that some patients face when attending physical therapy, Kim always remains positive and helps her patients maintain a positive mindset. Kim has a special ability to bring those around her together and really embrace what it means to be a team," her nominator said.

Our K-9 security program wouldn't be possible without strong community partners. We want to extend a special thank you to the city of Cortland and the Cortland Police Department for their generous donation of a K-9 vehicle for Scout and Officer Redder.

We're excited to announce that United Methodist Homes Foundation (United Methodist Homes - Hilltop Campus) has received a $3,000 Guthrie Community Benefit Grant! This funding supported the installation of a blood pressure kiosk for independent living residents, enabling them to monitor their health more proactively.

Meet the Newest Member of the Guthrie Team! 🐾 Please join us in welcoming K9 Scout and his handler Officer Daniel Redder to our K9 Security team!

Scout, an 80-pound Belgian Malinois, and Officer Redder will be based at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center but will serve across the system. They join K9 Echo and Officer Vaughn as a key part of our commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for our patients, caregivers and visitors.

If you see Scout and Officer Redder, please remember that Scout is a working dog. Give them a wave, but please don't approach without Officer Redder's permission. Welcome to the team, Scout and Officer Redder!

We're teaming up with The Frosty Caboose in Cortland to bring back the Guthrie Great Sundae — a deliciously cool creation with a purpose. 100% of the proceeds from every Guthrie Great Sundae sold at The Frosty Caboose will go directly to the Cortland Memorial Foundation's Nicholas Renzi Cancer Care Fund. That means every bite you take helps support patients at the Renzi Cancer Center at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center as they receive life-saving cancer care.

Swing by The Frosty Caboose this August, grab a Guthrie Great Sundae, and let's make this summer a little sweeter—for everyone!

Guthrie Cortland Medical Center and the Rotary Club of Cortland are thrilled to announce the return of the Teacher's Pet School Supply Drive! We're asking our community to lend a hand and become a "Teacher's Pet" by donating much-needed school supplies. Collection bins are available for drop-off until August 29 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center and First National Bank of Dryden in Cortland and Homer.
