sometimes it’s just a shift,
from holding… to allowing.

from bracing the body
to remembering
you can breathe again.

there’s a kind of strength
in staying steady…

but there’s another -
quieter, companion practice

in letting yourself open.

in taking up space…
without tightening around it.

breathe in… come back.
your body knows how to open.

opening space for breath, body, and nervous system reset.

If your nervous system feels a little scattered after a long weekend… try this.
A simple 3.5-minute reset: breath, gentle movement, and arriving home to yourself, again.
…a simple way to come back to yourself, anytime you need it.

Sunrise at Bryce.

There’s a moment before the world fully wakes…
where everything is quiet,
and the light begins to return.

Not rushed.
Not forced.
Just arriving, exactly as it’s meant to.

A gentle reminder,
we don’t have to rush our own unfolding. 🌿

Nothing is happening… and that’s the shift.
After you let go…
it might feel like nothing changed.

No breakthrough.
No big shift.

Just space.

Don’t rush to fill it.

That’s where the real change is happening.

You don’t force the bloom.
You trust the timing. The space after the release … is a practice.

After you soften…
there’s often a moment
where nothing changes.

At least not on the surface.

No breakthrough.
No instant clarity.
No visible bloom.

Just… space.

And this is where most people
tighten again.

But this moment,
this quiet, in-between -
is where something deeper is happening.

The body is learning
it’s safe to stay open.

The nervous system is unwinding
patterns it held for years.

This is the part we don’t always see.

The part where growth
isn’t dramatic…
but it’s real.

You don’t force the bloom.

You stay.
You soften.
You trust the timing.

And over time,
that becomes who you are.

You’re not blocked.
You’re bracing.

Check your body 🤎

The jaw gripping.
The breath held just a little too high.
The quiet urgency to figure everything out.

That’s not failure.
That’s protection.

And it likely served you…
beautifully… at some point.

But what once protected you
can quietly become the thing
that keeps you from opening.

The body doesn’t bloom
under pressure.

It blooms
when it feels safe enough
to soften.

So today,
don’t push forward.

Unclench your jaw.
Let your shoulders drop.
Take one slow, intentional breath.

And notice what begins to shift
when you stop holding so tightly.

You don’t have to force your life open.

You don’t have to grip, push, or over-effort your way into clarity.

The lotus doesn’t bloom because it tries harder.
It blooms because the conditions are right.

Breath softens the body.
Softness creates space.
Space allows something new to emerge.

Try this for 60 seconds today
Lotus Mudra at your heart,
and one simple shift:

less effort, more allowing.

We don’t force the bloom.
We create the conditions for it.

Spring reminds us that growth often begins beneath the surface 🌱
in unseen shifts of safety, softness, and clarity.

The lotus mudra is a simple way to reconnect with this process.
Hands at heart center.
Fingers gently opening like petals.
Breathing slowly with the mantra So Hum.

A small ritual for tending what is already becoming.

What is quietly growing in your life right now?

Spring begins in the rain.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, the first day of spring arrived in saturated earth, flooded paths, wind-tossed branches…
and small, fleeting moments of sunlight between the rain.

This afternoon, during a sun break, I stepped barefoot onto the wet grass
and felt the quiet turning of the season.
Not a sudden bloom ..
but a softening.
A thawing.
A gentle return to movement.

In yoga and Ayurveda, spring is a time of clearing heaviness and awakening circulation.
Allowing energy to begin flowing again.

If you feel slow, tender, or still emerging from winter,
you are right on time.

Growth often begins underground,
in the rain,
before anyone sees the flowers.

Welcome, Spring. 🌱
