Creativity is in full bloom at Arcadia Care at Dwight! 🎨🌼

Several of our residents joined the Activities Department to paint rocks for a special summer activity for children in our community. It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and connection

Please join us in welcoming Olivia G., our new Dietary Manager here at Arc at Dwight! 💙

Olivia was born and raised right here in Dwight and currently lives with her significant other and their cat, Felix. 🐾 Many may remember Olivia from her previous time with us when we were known as Heritage Health, where she worked as a Cook before pursuing other opportunities.

We are excited to have her back — now leading our Dietary Department! With several years of experience in food service and management, Olivia brings strong leadership, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for what she does.

Her commitment to high-quality service, resident care, and overall satisfaction truly makes a difference every day. Olivia has already been a welcoming and friendly presence, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.

🍕 Pizza Day = Best Day! 🍕

Who doesn’t love pizza? We sure do here at Arcadia Care at Dwight! 😄

Our Activities Department put together a delicious pizza order from Casey’s, and it was a hit! Each resident enjoyed 3 slices of hot, cheesy pizza — with options like Sausage, Cheese, and Supreme — along with a fresh homemade side salad, a sweet treat (either a big Casey’s cookie or a lemon cupcake 🍪🧁), and an ice-cold pop.

Let’s just say… the back of the dining room got very quiet — the best sign that everyone was busy enjoying every bite! 😋

Moments like these bring comfort, joy, and a whole lot of smiles.

🍽️ A Meal Made with Heart 🍽️

VFW Post 2608 “The Beachead” has once again brought smiles to our residents with a delicious and generous meal!

22 orders of fried chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and dessert were lovingly prepared by the amazing folks at our local VFW — and it did not disappoint!

A special thank you to our Activities Team for coordinating such a large order and making sure everything went smoothly.

Our residents truly look forward to the second Friday of each month for this special chicken dinner — it’s a tradition filled with great food, gratitude, and community.

🍀 A Full House for St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

We had a full house celebrating St. Patrick’s Day here at the Arc — and what a party it was! 💚

We were thrilled to welcome The Bob & Judy Duo from Peoria, who brought incredible energy with their accordions — and yes, they were decked out in matching outfits all the way down to their shoes! 🎶

Residents were tapping their toes and clapping along to lively Irish jigs and classic polka hits, filling the room with music, laughter, and joy.

And of course, no St. Patty’s Day celebration would be complete without festive treats! Residents enjoyed Irish coffees topped with Bailey’s, refreshing green punch, and delicious green & gold cupcakes. 🧁☕

A big thank you to Bob & Judy and our amazing Activities Team for making this such a fun and memorable celebration!

🌟 Employee of the Month – March 🌟

Please join us in congratulating Stephanie Hoyt, Activity Aide, for being named our March Employee of the Month!

Stephanie was nominated for her incredible dedication and positive attitude. Her nomination reads:

Stephanie takes on any task with a true can-do attitude. While working alone on a Sunday, she successfully organized a private birthday party for a resident with 25 guests, coordinated church service, and planned a Super Bowl Sunday party for residents. On top of that, she baked 240 cookies in just two hours to make the celebration extra special.

Stephanie truly cares about engaging our residents and works hard to make sure their days are filled with joy and meaningful activities.

Thank you, Stephanie, for your compassion, hard work, and the happiness you bring to our residents every day. Congratulations!

Thursday afternoons at Arcadia Care at Dwight bring a special tradition for several of our gentlemen residents.

Each week, the fellas gather in the library for their Men’s Stag Party, a time to relax, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company. With ice cold beers, pretzels, and plenty of laughter, it is always a great way to spend the afternoon.

Today was even more exciting as they watched a great boxing match together, cheering on their favorites and enjoying the camaraderie.

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how meaningful friendship and shared experiences can be.

Bingo is serious business here at the Arc!

While our Activities Department usually runs the games, we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful volunteers who join us as guest Bingo callers. Recently, the Saint Patrick’s Rosary Ladies spent time with our residents calling Bingo and assisting those who needed a little extra help.

They even brought their own Bingo prizes, which made the afternoon even more exciting for everyone involved.

A special thank you to Patti and the entire group of ladies for sharing your time, kindness, and generosity with our residents. We all had a wonderful time and truly appreciate your continued support!
