🚶‍♂️❤️ Our Hermitage clinic is fundraising for the American Heart Association - Tennessee's Middle Tennessee Heart Walk on September 20th in honor of their patient, Clifton Lide! ❤️🚶‍♀️

After a life-threatening heart attack in 2021 that led to bilateral amputation and a 6-month hospital stay, Clifton came to our Hermitage clinic weak but DETERMINED. Today, he's conquering life every single day! 💪

From our clinic director: "His will to live inspired me and those in the clinic with him! He's pushed sleds, done battle ropes, mastered balance challenges, and even taught me frisbee golf! He has conquered life every single day and pushes to be better every session. Clifton shows us there are no limitations - only possibilities, and reminds us to live life to the fullest!" ❤️

Our Tullahoma Clinic is excited to support Blue Monarch in our 2025 Clinic Challenge! 🦋

Blue Monarch's mission is to provide long-term, residential, and therapeutic Christian community for women and their children, helping them break adverse cycles and rebuild their families. 💙

They assist women and their children who are overcoming addiction, abuse, and economic hardship, helping them transform their lives in mind, body, and spirit.

Their program emphasizes the recovery of both the mother and the child, providing hands-on coaching for mothers learning to parent their children while sober. Blue Monarch believes destructive cycles can be broken, families can be healed, and freedom from addiction can be found through Christ.

Since 2003, Blue Monarch has served over 1,000 women and children, successfully reuniting more than 370 children with mothers who had previously lost custody.

Brenda showed up, worked hard, stayed positive, and gave it her all every single visit. Today, she’s walking pain-free, moving with confidence, and back to doing all the daily activities she loves — without hesitation! 🏃‍♀️✨

This week was American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Capitol Hill Day 2025! We are proud to share that our Franklin Clinic Director, Tom Mork, was among the delegation from APTA Tennessee that attended APTA Capitol Hill Day. Tom met with legislative staff from the offices of Congressman Mark Green, Congressman Andy Ogles, Senator Bill Hagerty, and Sen. Marsha Blackburn to advocate for crucial healthcare legislation.

Key Legislative Priorities Discussed:

Medicare Reform - Supporting the recent 2% payment boost to the Medicare physician fee schedule and continuing the fight for long-term solutions that include adding an annual inflationary update to prevent future cuts to Medicare.

SAFE Act (H.R. 1171) - The Stopping Addiction and Falls in the Elderly Act would trigger an automatic referral to physical therapy for Medicare patients with a history of falling during annual physicals and wellness check-ups.

Preventing Interruptions in Physical Therapy Act (H.R. 1517 / S. 2225) - Expanding locum tenens coverage beyond rural areas to ensure continuous patient care.

Optimizing Postpartum Outcomes Act (H.R. 4074) - Would instruct the Department of Health and Human Services to provide education for physicians and patients about Pelvic Health physical therapy and the benefits of this service following pregnancy.

On Saturday, June 7, David Sheer, DPT, MOMT, FAAOMPT, visited STAR-Dyersburg to educate therapists from our clinics in Dyersburg, Alamo, Lexington, and our sister company, Memphis PT, on treating the upper quarter utilizing the Multi-Modal Manual Therapy approach. This comprehensive orthopedic model assesses the ailment from multiple perspectives, providing a more well-rounded treatment. Pretty sweet, huh? 😎

Grayson is a third-year Biology Major from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and will be with us for several weeks, gaining orthopedic clinical education and patient care hours. After graduating from UTM, he plans to further his education and work toward becoming a Physician Assistant (PA)!

Ellie will be with us as a Tech until she leaves for Murray State in August. There, she will major in Exercise Science. After receiving her undergraduate degree at Murray State, she plans to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
