Don’t Fry Day, observed the Friday before Memorial Day, aims to promote sun safety. Approximately 20% of Americans will develop some form of skin cancer in their lifetime. The likelihood of developing skin cancer doubles after you have had 5 or more sunburns, however, an SPF 15 or higher drastically reduces your risk of non-melanoma skin cancer.
