We have no idea what is going to happen with the weather this weekend but we do know everyone is stressed out and worried. For the safety of our patients and staff we decided to make an early call and close Monday. We hope this weather passes and everyone just gets a three day weekend to enjoy.

If we get the snow and ice they are predicting we urge everyone to stay inside and stay safe.

What is neuropathy?

Neuropathy is nerve damage mostly occurring in the hands and feet. It causes numbness, burning, sharp pain, and decreased blood flow to the affected body part. The most common complaints from patients that suffer with neuropathy is pain, numbness, and a loss of coordination.
If you suffer from neuropathy try our aquatic physical therapy program.

Aquatic therapy helps neuropathy symptoms in multiple ways.
Increased movement can improve circulation which helps increase blood flow to damaged nerves in feet and legs.
The pressure exerted by the water can decrease swelling aiding in the reduction of acute and chronic pain.
The warm water also has a soothing effect on damaged nerves which decreases pain.

If you suffer from neuropathy call us at 731-285-6600 to schedule an appointment to see if aquatic physical therapy can help your neuropathy symptoms.

The benefits of using aquatic physical therapy to treat back pain are significant. When you are doing exercises in water your spine is only supporting 20% of your weight. This results in less pain when exercising while you strengthen your core and back muscles.

The hot tub after isn’t too bad either😉

Don’t let fear of pain stop you from getting your life back.

If you have not tried or started your physical therapy because of pain you need to try aquatic physical therapy. Aquatic physical therapy is an excellent choice for people with a wide range of conditions including:
Arthritis
Back pain
Chronic pain
Fibromyalgia
Multiple sclerosis
Obesity
Parkinson’s disease and many more

The buoyancy of the water reduces nearly 90% of the body’s weight on muscles, bones, and joints. This results in a less painful physical therapy visit.

Give us a call at 731-285-6600 to schedule your appointment and get back to the daily activities that you love.
